I don´t know why People Magazine hasn´t put Deschanel and Boreanaz on the cover and have an article about the show. Wouldn´t that be great?

Talk of writers strike read artricle at link below

Come back and talk about it.

    http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117971074.html?categoryid=14&cs=1

    Here is later news:

    http://www.hollywoodtoday.net/?p=1858

    In a capsule
Meetings due to resume Sept. 19
Don't look for agreement before end of contract of Oct 31
Writers will probably continue working under old contract
until actors contracts comes up at end of June 2008 let
    me repeat until a c t o r s contracts end June,08.
This would allow guilds to act in unison to take on
    producers.
Strike by writers and next year by actors seen as more
real than anytime in the past two decades.

Please take time to read the article.

Hello No writers, no actors no new Bones.

    is there anyone out there?

How does HH and DB fit in HH in writer and producer & DB is actor and producer

I don't know what to say... That's too much english for me...

But as I said, someone will be able to tell you something...

I didn't really got much from there to understand what's going on, but your quote "No writters, no actors, no new Bones" seems really bad to me...

What this could mean is the the people who write all the tv shows in the usa could possibly go

on strike (not work). Their guild or union is called Screenwriters Guild. Their contract is up

October 31. They will probably continue to work without new contract agreement until

Jun,08. At that time the actors guilds "Screenactors Guild"contract will be up.

Now if you don't have writers or actors working that means no new shows.

If they picket (physically protest at sets, film lots etc. there may be other guilds

or unions that would not cross those picket lines.

This could include everyone you see at the end of a show where names and job titlequickly

rolls up the screen. That part is giving "credit" to people for the work they did on the show.

Most all of them belong to a guild and would not cross another guilds picket line.

This could mean reruns reruns reruns reruns. reruns of short lived cancelled shows, anything

to fill the time. This is bad for everyone because if your favorite show does not give you anything

new for a long time you move on.

Now then I feel better but we may need to start stocking up recorded programming. May need to

haul out the vcr again and put it to work. Record things you like or don't like have a tape for a show

you never watched and record every episode you can find.

I have lived through several (being older then dirt has its advantages) of these

it is no fun for the avid tv watcher.

Of course they could settle but does not look like they will also we have from now until probably

June 2008 which is nine months away.

Just keep checking on how the meetings are going in the news.

    Thanks for listening.

    Oh...
Thanks for the explanation, by the way...
That really looks bad... I hope that Bones is not one of those cases...

I think that since the producers announced Bones would have 24 + episodes it's probably part because of the strike which hopefully means they're not involved with the strike. Of course that's just me crossing my fingers. Since GG is now gone all I really have to watch is Bones and Heros.

That would really suck if they all went on strike. You would think it would be bad for business too. Force people to do something else and after a while they may not come back. Hopefully Bones and the few other shows I watch will be ok. Here's to wishful thinking.

I hope there is not going to be a strike too, but it is very complicated.

All the screenwriters belong to the guild. All. If the guild says walk they will all walk.

It looks as though they will wait until the actors contracts are up the end of June 08

and then both guilds will walk, The guilds were formed to protect the artistic creation

of the writers and actors. This is very complicated and involves everything from

copyrights to reruns. The Internet has also created so many complications for creative protection.

The Bones creators are wanting more shows this season in order to have more new shows

running incase there is a strike and they will also have more reruns to call upon.

Don't worry if it happens it will happen to all the programs, dramas, action, news, comedy,

anything that requires the written word. So all shows will be in the same boat.

Oh man, I hope it doesn't escalates or it's settled quickly because this means Reality Shows will rule the TV. It's hard enough for script writers to fight them off now but with the strike....
