This episode is definitely jumping the shark. The episode is... weak. The story seems to be so trivial even if at the beginning it seems to be complicated. This is not the first time it happens in this season. The baby thing is an exageration. He is an FBI agent, she is a well-known scientist in Jeffersonian Institute. Their personal life can not interfere with the job and look what happened during the arresting of the perp. The baby thing spoiled the show and it began quite promising by introducing a new intern. Still I will be watching but its heydays the show had two, three years ago. Right now it's quite mediocre.moreless
  • very good

    9.0
Lately I felt that bones episodes were not as good as before, but this week it kept me watching all the way to end.

The case was not highly twisted nor very original, but still entertaining and funny with the coupon club. There is just the right amount of baby screen time and romance, not too much, just enough to give a light touch to this episode. And bones looks much more happy than usual, it is nice to see that on screen since she is a bit gloomy usually.

The only thing I'd like to see is a main vilain for the season, but i'm sure it will come very soon.

Overall I'm very satisfied with this episode, and this show seems to have found its right course, proof that consuming a love story between two main characters is possible (yes I'm looking at you Castle !)moreless

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Booth: Oh, she winked at me.

Brennan: She probably has something in her eye. Do you have the shopping list?

Booth: Yeah, I have the shopping list right there. Why do you have to be like that, huh? She coulda winked at me.

Brennan: She's six weeks old, Booth. She's developmentally incapable of making the decision to wink at you.

Booth: Well, she could be just like you, you know, brilliant and … crazy about me. Ha. (Brennan winks at him) Hey-hey-hey, that was a good one.

    • (Brennan has just received a photo of Christine from the daycare center on her phone.)
Brennan: I told the director to send a photo every half an hour.
Cam: Wow. I didn't know they did that.
Brennan: They don't, usually, but I told her because of my position, that I could have her fired.

    • Brennan: I'm gonna take a photo. Mr. Abernathy should see this right away so he can determine what type of weapon might've caused this. Oh. Uh-oh.

Booth: What? Something worse than her head getting cut off?

Brennan: I sent the photo to the day care director.

Cam: Ooh. Day one, not a good first impression.

Brennan: How … is there an "unsend" button?

    • (Agent Shaw has anticipated and answered all of Booth's questions and handed him a solid lead for the investigation.)
Booth: I don't suppose you have organic baby wipes on you?
Genny Shaw: No, sir, but … um … I do have a break coming up. I could, uh–
Booth: That's really okay, Shaw. Just remember me when you take over the Bureau.

    • Angela: The Video Spectral Comparator should be able to tell us what was once on here.

Hodgins: Hey, you never know. I mean, these markings … could be code. See? Right here.

Angela: Yeah. It's a UPC code on a coupon.

Hodgins: "Ten cents off any three pack of tapioca pudding."

Angela: Oh, my God. Oh, my God! Terrorists are trying to corner the market on tapioca pudding and take down America.

      Hodgins: You're mocking me.

      Angela: You're quick.

    • Hodgins: What do you two know that I don't?

Angela: Finn is going out with Michelle.

Hodgins: Whoa! That's awesome! (Cam stares at him) Not … awesome?

Angela: What's wrong? I thought that you liked him.

Cam: I like him. I do … like Finn, but it's just … he's got a somewhat troubled past.

Angela: Yeah, but you were the one who said that was all behind him.

Cam: I know. I know, but … Michelle's my daughter, and he went after his stepfather with a knife.

Hodgins: Yeah, but if some jerk was beating my mother, I'd have done the same thing.

Angela: Yeah, I mean, he's a good kid, Cam.

    • Cam: You are my daughter. It's my job to protect you.

Michelle: I may be your daughter, but I'm also 18, and that means – if I can vote and go to war – I can certainly choose who I date. (she walks away)

Cam: (calling after her) Yeah, but you can't drink. You're still not allowed to drink.

    • Finn: Uh, I think Dr. Saroyan has taken issue with me keeping company with Michelle. Maybe with you being a mother and all, you might be able to help me see her point of view?

Brennan: Well, at this stage, I'm only equipped to handle the concerns of a six-week-old, so, unless you have a diaper that needs changing or need to be breast-fed, I'm afraid I can't help.

    • Cam: Are your classes going well?

Finn Abernathy: Well sometimes I find myself lost in the forest, but, uh … as long as no one walks off and leaves their campfire burning, I guess I'll be okay.

Cam: Wow, that was a lot of imagery.

Finn Abernathy: You know. My mama used to say, "God gave us words and it's our job to put wings on them."
