Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Episode Sexoplosion

Sorry folks, but Angela is so annoying with her nymphomania that it's become almost cringe-worthy. WTH is wrong with her? Seriously! Frankly, I don't care about the melodrama of the character's personal lives. I care about the cases themselves. This is not Days of Our Lives, for God's sake. An did I mention Angela's lechery? Stick to the cases, as in seasons 1 and 2, and leave the soap operas to daytime programming. Booth and Bones have an interesting psychological dynamic going on. Together, they fight crime. That's what the show should be about, not who screwing who.moreless
  • this was an eccelant episode i thought!! really cute and true!! for most woman

I loved this episode because we explored Cam's past. i also think the women on bones really want children. they really want children a lot. it is amazing how much they want it. i think bones and booth will get together by the end of the season. i sure hope so!! my finger are really crossed. they are so cute together. that being said i think they have waited long enough and they will get together by the end of season four. they will break up also then get together again. i also think that Angela is a little wired. thank you for the bones support!! i love you all!!moreless
  • We learn about Cam's past.....

In this episode of Bones, the following happens. Bones and Booth investigate when human remains are found at a safari park. Soon the victim is IDed and we learn that he was in fact, Cam former fiancé. We also see that Angela has taken on Sweets advice and is trying to remain celebate. We soon learn that the victim had a daughter, Michelle who is 16 years old. Since Cam raised her for 2 years, but hasn't seen her in 10 years, she asks if she can tell her about her father's death. Cam tells Michele, and is also hurt that she doesn't remember Cam at all. Michelle is of course devastated by the news of her father's death. Soon Cam goes back to see Michelle and she admits that she remembers Cam and her leaving. We soon learn that the reason Cam and the victim split up, was because he was still seeing other women and Cam found out. Soon they find the murder weapon, and also learn of a suspect, who was having an affair with the victim. But hr alibi rules her out. When looking through photos from the night of the murder, we learn that one of the nurses from the hospital, he worked at, killed him. As they got o question her, she confesses and is arrested. We then see Cam going to see Michelle, to tell her that they caught the person who killed her father. Cam offers her to go and live with her, and pulls out an old salt shaker. Michelle then runs off and Cam prepares to leave. Michelle then returns with the other half of the shaker, in her hand. She kept it for all of these years. Michelle goes to her and they hug.moreless
  • A fantastic Camille episode.

It's really the first time an episode has been dedicated to Cam and it's a great one.

One thing about Weldon stands out – he rejected Richard from the residency program. It would have been a smart political move to admit the boy, his mother's a big contributor. The mother's attitude makes it clear she expects Richard to be admitted because of her influence rather than his being deserving of it. Means Weldon went on merit.

I feel for Michelle. Cam really hurt her when she left. Michelle must be feeling really alone – first her mother dies, Cam leaves and now her father dies. A child doesn't forget her mother, especially at the very impressionable age of 4-6 years old. Made me cry.

The hypnosis session was very cool and funny, Angela to the giraffe, "Dude, you're blocking my light."

Angela's behaviour is disgraceful, her comments to Clark are blatant sexual harassment. He could sue her and he's win! Liked Clark's girlfriend, I did know about the Victorian cure for 'anxiety'.

    A wonderful episode, very touching.moreless
  • I was not expecting episode like this

I was really positively surprised by this episode. First it was concentrating on Cam - you will not see that very often and they really had heartbreaking, emotional and tearjerking episode - for long I haven't seen that kind of combination from Bones.

So, I think it was different than usual episode and not all liked it, but I did - I am not big Cam fan.. I think on the other far end rather, but this episode really worked.. the developments on her char, those conversations, pain, her ideas.. it was well portrayed and beautifully worked out. Some part of the episode were little too easily guessable but not the ending - I mean who killed that doctor.. the thing with girl running away was..moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • Hodgins: I found traces of uric acid on the victim's clothing. It was the pheromones you found pleasing.
Angela: Yeah, yeah. Uh, the pheromones in tiger urine?
Hodgins: Well, I assume it's tiger urine.

While mammals do produce uric acid, it isn't something they excrete in their urine -- that would be urea. Reptiles and amphibians excrete uric acid in their waste, in a solid form.

    • Goof: The piece of the salt and pepper shaker set Cam has in the lab is not the same one she shows Michelle while in her house. But when Michelle runs upstairs to get her piece, Cam once again has the piece she had in the lab.

    • Booth: (sneaking up behind Brennan to scare her) Snakes!

Dr. Brennan was first shown to have a fear of snakes in the 5th episode of season 3: "Mummy in the Maze."

    • Booth is playing with a pair of yellow dice when interrogating Rick Annenburg. This is a recurring theme, with previous dice appearances in the episodes "The Crank in the Shaft" (4x06), "Intern in the Incinerator" (3x06), and "The Woman in the Tunnel" (1x16).

  • QUOTES (16)

    • Cam: We know people through our feelings, Dr. Brennan. You trust Booth because of what you feel.
Bones: No, I trust Booth because of past actions.
Cam: And faith in the future. I'm sorry, but feelings are important, even to you.

    • Angela: Hey Dr. Oldhouse. I wasn't wrong about Clark, was I? He's, tightly wound but-
Nora Oldhouse: Dynamite, Ms. Montenegro. A briefcase bomb.
      Angela: That's what I thought.

    • Cam: I want you to consider something. You need a place to live now.
Michelle: Yea um ... my dad has some kind of cousin in Chicago.
Cam: I ... would like you to come live with me.

    • Cam: Michelle stopped loving me years ago.
Bones: But you never stopped loving her. She'll know that. The Mohawk Indians have a saying that when a child falls in the rapids, the one who rescues her will share in her new life forever. I assume that doesn't only apply to a potential drowning victim.

    • Cam: When I left Michelle 10 years ago I knew, Andrew wouldn't say what needed to be said, so ...
      Bones: You did it?
Cam: No. I didn't know, what to say and, she was so little, and I loved her so much. And I hadn't had a child of my own but, I found it impossible to believe anyone ... anyone could love a child more. (Bones reaches out to Hold Cam's hand) But, I had no place in her life anymore so ... I had to-
Bones: You had to leave room. In case Andrew found someone else who might help raise Michelle. (Cam nods.)
Cam: I had this old salt and pepper set my grandmother gave me before she died, it fits together. I kept this one, and I gave Michelle the other half. And I told her that, whenever she looked at it she should know, that at that exact moment I'd be thinking of her and loving her.
      Bones: That is not strictly-
Cam: I know, Dr. Brennan. But I swear sometimes I looked at my half and knew that little girl was missing me.

    • Booth: So he was killed around that area with something like that thing.
      Brennan: That is very imprecise.
      Booth: Works for me.

    • Angela: (about Hodgins) He does have a teriffic ass.
Brennan: Perhaps that's why you're always making him leave.

    • Clark: Angela.
      Angela: Clark. Hello.
Clark: I would like you to meet my romantic partner, Dr. Nora Oldhouse.
Angela: Hello, romantic partner. (Angela and Nora shake hands.)
Clark: Yes, we're romantically involved. Together. She and I.
      Nora: Clark she heard you.
Clark: Nora, these are not like regular people. It is best to be very, very clear with them.

    • Angela: Welcome back, Clark. Whoa ... have you been working out?
      Clark: Excuse me?
Angela: You look so solid and compact.
Clark: I believe that all conversations should relate to this man's murder.
Hodgins: Angela's taking a stab at celibacy.
Angela: Sweets thinks it'll help me form more ... committed relationships.
Hodgins: But it just seems to rev up her libido.
Clark: Chewing ... has embedded particulates into the teeth marks in the medial malleolus.
Angela: Okay. I get it. But you're squeezable.

    • Booth: Did you know that giraffes can weigh up to two tons?
      Bones: Yes. Everyone knows that.
Booth: And they sleep less than two hours a day.
Bones: That I did not know.
Booth: Yes! Pinky stumps The Brain!

    • Cam: Nice to have you back Dr. Edison. Wasn't sure we'd see you again.
Clark: Dr. Brennan assured me that I could count on a strictly professional atmosphere.
Bones: I admire your focus and dedication to your work, Dr. Edison.
Clark: Thoracolumbar fascia has been eaten.
Cam: No stomach contents for me to analyze because the tiger ate the stomach.
Clark: Ah, don't blame the tiger. Animals shouldn't be confined for human amusement.
      Hodgins: A zoo hater?
      Clark: And a vegan.
Hodgins: Oh. Someone's revealing their plant-based personal life.

    • Booth: (arriving at the animal park with Brennan) I was here last weekend with Parker. They got monkeys swingin' free -- right over there! You think we have time?
Bones: Booth, we are here to recover a set of remains.
Booth: Come on Bones, you gotta take time to smell the primates.
Bones: Why? They're malodorous and they throw their excrement.

    • Angela: (to Hodgins) Hey, you want to stay and, have a drink? (Camille snaps her fingers.)
Angela: Oh, yeah. We hate men.

    • Cam: The only person he was ever faithful to was Michelle.
Angela: Well there you go. He was playing the field and, somebody probably nuked him for it.
Brennan: Well how do you know?
Angela: Because. Despite the fact that I would love to have my legs wrapped around one right now, men are awful. (Hodgins walks in.)
Hodgins: Hey. (The three women give him a mean look.) Whoa, what'd I do?
      Cam: You're a man.
      Hodgins: I have information.

    • Brennan: I thought you would be with Booth.
Cam: Questioning people isn't, really my thing. Most of the time I just wanna ... beat them until they tell me what I wanna hear.
Brennan: I know, it gets frustrating and, hitting can often be quite effective.
Clark: And you both work with the Justice Department.
      Brennan: Yes.
      Clark: Ironic.

    • Angela: I was turned on by tiger urine?

    • This episode was originally scheduled to air one week earlier, but a press conference by President Obama was scheduled for Tuesday, March 24th at 8:00 p.m. This caused American Idol to be pre-empted, moving the two-hour performance show to Wednesday (one day later) and the one-hour results show to Thursday at 8:00 p.m (also one day later). This resulted in the week's episode of Bones being moved to one week later.

    • Booth: Yes! Pinky stumps The Brain.

Booth is referring to the mid 90's cartoon segment "Pinky and the Brain" from the show Animaniacs, which was later made into its own full cartoon. Pinky was a stupid mouse (Booth) who was partners with a genius mouse, Brain (Brennan).
