  • Creepy cannibals share a cozy bank vault.

    10
    "Perfect"
This season opener is a vast improvement on season 2's.

So freaked out by being left standing at the altar with Booth, Brennan has crawled back into her cold, anti-social shell. Booth is hurt that she's shutting him out and feeling guilty about arrested Max. Angela makes a charming substitute. Even Cam is intervening, pushing Brennan to go with Booth.

Very, very cool episode, hope they continue with it so we can learn more. Those artifacts were not assembled overnight, we're talking years and lots of money so this could be a cult.

It's so cute! Hodgins thinks Angela's marriage situation is funny! It's typical Hodgins that he is so understanding.

Great episode, opens a door for lots more in the future.
  • A new serial killer?

Great to get the info on what has been happening for three months - Bones has had 17 assistants: she isn't going out in the field with Booth and he can't understand why: Zack is away in Iraq: Angela and Jack are trying to find out about her earlier marriage through a detective agency: and there's a really gruesome find to be investigated.

This really kicks off the new season. The skeleton found in the bank vault looks as though it will lead to endless possibilities especially as the cannibal they identify and lock up suicides.

Brennan admits to Booth that she feels it was all his fault that Zack went to Iraq which is why she has been avoiding him. When Zack returns all is well.

Great, rollon the rest of the season.
  • Wow....And we're back baby!

In this episode of Bones, the following happens. While some teenagers drive on the highway, a human skull crashes into the car window. And so Bones and Booth are called in to investigate. We soon learn that it has been 3 months since Zach left for Iraq, and Bones is still trying to find someone to replace him. We see Angela and Hodgins hiring a private investigator to try and track down her husband, as she doesn't even know his name and it isn't on the marriage licence. We soon learn that the victim's face was chewed off by a cannibal. Soon the victim is IDed. As they work through evidence found, they are all shocked when Zach walks back into the lab. The team soon make an arrest. When they go back to question him, they find him dead and naked in his cell. As the episode ends, we see that Bones and Booth are back on top of their game, and kissed (kind of!).
  • Great episode for a season opener.

Lot of changes in Bones this season. Hodgins has a haircut, and a bit of a shave, Zack is gone, and Booth and Brennan are having a few issues of their own.

It was sad to see Zack gone, he added to the show so much, even though his acting wasn't top notch. But we didn't have to be in pain long because he came back! and bald! I remember the glory days when Zack actually had hair, a lot of frizzy hair. He's back, and the show is good.

So this episode, we are introduced to a clan of serial killer cannibals. At first they think they caught the only cannibal, then with Hodgins expertise on conspiracies, they found out that it is really a society of cannibals. I can see a whole season moving around this idea.

Also we saw subtle hints of romance between Bones and Booth, to which I am STILL waiting to improve.

The season opener "Widows Son in a Windshield" starts off with the dynamic duo Bones and Booth being weird with each other, more precisely Bones being unwilling to work with Booth in the field.

But nonetheless there is a murder to be solved, a musician has been killed and eaten by a canniballistic killer. If that isn't enough to creep anyone out, it becomes clear pretty soon that a serial killer is working here and trying to replace a silver skeleton with human bones, after snacking on them. This episode introduces us for the first time to the killer, later on named 'Gormogon', an arc that will span the complete season.

I think the mystery starts off quite well and that the plot is intriguing. The B-plot, Angela and Hodgins looking for her missing husband, is something I could do without.

Overall, this is an enjoyable episode and a stronger season opener that the last one "The Titan on Tracks".

this was a very good season opening..i really did like it..it had my attention the whole time..like especially with some good booth and brennan moments to start out..anyways..spoiler..the thing in the beginning w/ the teens was kind of funny but when they got into the skull that was a whole other story..its funny how they needed hodgins theories after all..i did like clark..i wish brennan gave him more of a chance..the private investigator was too funny..and angela trying to remember facts about her husband..she was so clueless..and then the pic she drew was hilarious..i loved the you kissed my hand..you put it on my coffee cup thing and yay zack is back from iraq..good ep..i just didnt like how this was the first case they didnt conclude in an ep
  • Welcome back Bones, the season three premiere.

Not a bad way to welcome back our favourite show. This first episode of season three is the beginning of the Gormagon (a cannabalistic serial killer) arc. After finding human remains with teeth marks on it, our favourite squints realize that they are after not one flesh eater, but two. The start of a very intriguing storyline that is set to be solved by the end of season three. We also discover that after being left at the alter together a few months earlier, Booth and Brennan haven't been working together much. It seems that being left at the alter has left and iconic image in Brennan's mind. However by the end of this episode our favourite dynamic duo are back together, what else would you expect?
  • A great way to get into the series!

This was the first episode of this show I ever watched, and I must say I'm glad I did! Even having never seen an episode before, I was able to easily get a feel for each of the characters' relationships with each other, as well as their personalities and all the interesting quirks therein. To me, that says a lot about the quality of the writing. I have since started watching episodes on the TNT network, and I'm more hooked than ever! Seeing the growth of the characters (Brennan working on her sense of humor, etc.) is fun and interesting. I am very much looking forward to finally getting caught up with the entire series!
  • The start of a serial. Bottom line, great start to season 3.

    "Superb"
This is one of the creepier murders and the start of a serial killer and we all have to wait till episodes of the later season to know whose the culprit.

Booth and Bones found a skeleton in a vault. The horror is finding evidence of teeth or gnawed marks on the bones, suggesting cannibalism. This episode is more introductory, and more could be understood in future episodes.

Meanwhile within the cast, we get the return of Zack who returned from Iraq having been dubbed 'detrimental' to the army. But everyone's glad to have him back, including us, viewers ^^ For Zack is irreplacable.

Booth and Bones have some sort of partner problem following Booth's arrest of Bones's father. While Angela and Hodgins need help seeking out Mr. unknown for divorce.

All in all, a great start to season 3.
  • It´s great to have Bones back

Brennan looked kind of uncomfortable around Booth, but was it because Angela´s comment? Probably. "You used to correct me" he said, looking hurt. Angela and Hodgins hire a PI to look for her husband, so she married someone that looks like a sixth (¿?) of the population?

I think it was a nice touch that Angela went with Booth to interrogate the woman after Brennan refused to go. I was surprised to see Zack back. I thought Brennan was overreacting when replacing him, but after seeing them around each other and him being so accurate, you know she was right. Cam telling Zack not to worry and giving Booth advice on how to approach Brennan, makes me like her more.

The subplot of the skeleton is a great addition to the show. It´s exciting and keeps you wanting for more.

The last scene is great, in many aspects. Booth asks Brennan about their partnership without hesitation. She answers because she cares, because she´s worried that he thinks they may be hurt so she reassures him; she´s changed so much. The whole you kissed my hand/you didn´t brought a smile to my face.

A good start for season 3.

  • Yes, Bones is back!

I am so happy that they are finally airing season 3 here in the Netherlands. This episode was good, but not the best one so far, there were others that were better. But even now I still loved this episode, and it was worth the wait. I just loved the tension between Booth and Brennen, and I just wanted to know what happened after the ending from season 2. And in the beginning from the episode you don't find out right away, and I wanted to watch the rest of this episode to see what really did happen. And what happened was kind of disappointing cause nothing happened between Brennen and Booth. Bones was just acting weird because she missed Zack. And when Zack came back, which I'm very happy about, Bones was back to normal. And because of that were Booth and Bones also working as a good team again.

It was also very sweet to find out that Jack still wants to marry Angela and hired a private detective to find Angela's husband so she can divorce her husband and marry Jack. The plot from the case was awesome, and now there is another serial killer that they have to catch. I can't wait to see the rest of the season!
  • It was a really good episode

I liked it. It wasn't one of my favorites so far, but it wa really good.

I liked the case, even if it wasn't completely solved... I guess this is the serial killer they were talking about.

Loved the interaction between the characters.

I liked Clark... I think he could come back and work at the Jeffersonian, I mean, would it be so bad?

That thing with Angela and Hodgins trying to find the "husband"... well, I can only hope that they'll find him soon...

Last, but not least, yeah... you all know what I'm gonna say... lol

    Is it all that obvious?

    I loved B&B!! LOL

Those scenes where he kept trying to get her out of the lab and go with him were just amazing... he was obviously missing her working with him.

And I loved the end scene... No... I won't start freaking out because of what happened, because I seriously think that wasn't a kiss at all... it was an accident...

Too bad the background was fake... =P

Well, besides that, I totally loved it :)

Can't wait for the next one!!
  • Strangely, not as absorbing as I thought it would be, considering the plot, yet, still a decent episode.

    "Great"
I think the major drawback of that episode that such a small portion of it concentrated on the investigation and so much on private lives but I understand it; it's the season premiere, a lot has changed and a lot of things need to fall into place, plus, this is only the first installment in an arc, that's why I'm not all that bothered. The premise looks interesting and I hope to see more on the story soon.

I'm glad Zack is back, I panicked when they were searching for a replacement, I thought he would be back from Iraq before the episode started. I'm fresh to the series and I wouldn't know if Eric quit. Fortunately, Zach is back. Yay. The scene when Bones noticed him and the whole teamed rushed to welcome him back was great and very touching. I must say however, I'm not entirely pleased with the way they treated the replacement :I'm a nobody". I hope he'll get a job in the Jeffersonian after all.

Zack's new look doesn't suit him but it does makes him look very vulnerable and that's good. Hopefully, the hair will grow back. Speaking of new looks: WTH Hodgins! I didn't recognize him the first minute
  • Guess who's back!

Well, Brennan seems upset of Cam taking possibly over the place of Zach as the latter has been in Iraq for three months. While they must also solve the case when a skull drops on the car windshield of some teen drivers. Suspected of it being a case of cannablism. Plus, Booth and Brennan are having some issues as they are forced to seek counseling. After not seeing each other for weeks. Angela & Hodges try to get a PI to see if they could find Angela's husband. As she is so desparate misses him. Hoping he is alive. As guess who's back? Zach is back. As he helps solve the pieces of the puzzle. Expecting it as the family is back together. And Booth & Brennan kiss and make up!
  • Zack is back, people are dead and Booth and Brennan are in need of marriage counselling.

    "Perfect"
I quite enjoyed watching the relationship between Booth and Brennan in this episode. During the past seasons, we've seen them evolve and grow together into a relationship, but it's not until now that we've truly seen them having issues. There was the moments of confusion and weird feelings after Sully left, but this is much more and will surely affect their future relationship even more. Zack coming back was awesome, though expected. Didn't diminish the feeling of completion and I could feel the characters happiness at seeing him again, as if he'd truly been gone. They're a family, and now they're back together as it should be. Angela and Hodgins are adorable and it's nice to see them sticking together and not letting the fact that Angela is actually married ruining their relationship. The case was interesting and kind of freaky and it's nice to see a case that isn't wrapped up all neat and finished in the same episode. Can't wait to see the rest of the season.

So I have to agree with Angela just a tiny little bit about Bones avoiding working directly with Booth after the two of them were left at the alter. With all that sexual tension, she had to have like a million thoughts running through her head at that moment. But then Zack came back and she was the old Bones again, so maybe she was just putting in overtime at the lab (nah). I love the fact that Hodges loves Angela so much it does not matter to him that she is still married, he is paying a bunch to the PI to find this husband so there can be an annulment and he can be with her, so sweet.
  • Loved Seeing the Team Back Together.

    "Superb"
I loved the Bones, subconsciously avoiding working in the field with Booth. Knowing she was mad but not sure the reasoning behind it was great. The absence of Zack was felt but everyone especially the people appling to replace him. Scirpt was kinda off the wall. With the whole skull through the windshield, then finding the secret bank vault. Then on top of it there is evidence of cannibalism made it pretty far out but could prove interesting. Especially if it turns out the guy they are looking for resurfaces. I loved the scene where Brennan figures out why she is mad and Booth and thrilled that it's not what Angela was thinking. They are the center or core of the team and yes they are okay.
  • What are they waiting for?

    "Fair"
This is one of those episodes that leave me unsatisfied. It was funny, interesting and beyond excellent. But I feel that something is missing. Can't put my finger on it but something that gets me - this is why I watch this show! I still love the relationship between Booth and Bones, and more then so the relationship between Angela and Jack. But I feel that Booth and Bones are still dancing to the same tune, and so is this show. Nothing new happens that keeps the audience involved in the progress. Yes, we are all waiting for the day when the relationship develops into something - and from the season premier I expect that it will do so this season. However this is a show I just can't stop watching so unfortunately for me and my grades.
  • Oh how happy am I, Bones is back with a brilliant opener to season 3.

The team are back with a case of some weird cannibalistic sect.

Brennan and Booth are trying to sort out a difference of sorts, Booth thinks Brennan is peeved at him for arresting her father but Bones denies it, telling him she's too busy at the Jeffersonian what with Zack gone and not being able to find a replacement for him, Angela thinks there's more to it… a little thing called Feelings. Angela and Hodgins are still trying to null unvoid Angela's previous marriage to a guy she cannot remember so they hire a private investigator to try and track him down.

Zack's back after being shipped out to Iraq, he had a short term and was shipped back again saying he could not fit in. One of my favourite shows has started.... How happy am I.

Last time I saw bones and booth they were facing each other in the altar after Hodgins and Angela run together.

Now some time has passed and Zack is over in Iraque.

Cam wants Bones to find a substitute for Zack but she is delaying it, she already refuses 17 applications.

Since that day, the wedding, Bones has stayed in the lab and not on the field with Booth, he misses her.

We have a cannibal case, a skull was thrown from a bridge and gets stuck in the front glass of a car.

After all the tests, they end up at a vault in a historical building.

The vault is full of stuff, museum stuff and a silver skeleton with some real bones.

Zack suddenly appears at the Jeffersonian and everyone is happy to see him, he gets to work.

Thanks to him they find one of the cannibals but he dies in prison.

With Zack's return, Brennan comes to work with Booth again.

They now have 6 victims and the principal responsible is free yet.

At the end, Booth talks to Bones and they are OK, they are the center.

Now they have a serial killer to catch.

Okay, so all in all I liked this episode. I didn't love it. Booth seemed really needy, Angela and Hodgins totally preoccupied, Cam- since when is she Seeley's new bff?, and I thought it would be awhile before Zac-Attack was back. I felt bad for the poor guy trying to "replace" Zack and I felt Bones' explanation for being mad at Booth was lackluster. Oh! I would also like to concur that the last scene was horribly shot. CGI people, or else shoot on local. I liked the fact they brough the team together but I didn't know they were apart- did I miss something? I just hope by the next episode we see the Squints and Booth all back on track and more of the banter and chemistry- which we glimpsed at the end- well, some of us would have if we weren't staring at the screen wondering what 4th grade film student shot that sequence in front of a school backdrop...

    Booth was weird.

Hey, I love the guy and though his behaviour was really cute and fun to watch, I just wasn't used to him acting that way around Brennan. Speaking of our favorite forensic anthropologist, she was acting strange as well, not being her usual gung-ho, I-wanna-be-out-in-the-field self. I can't say if it's because of how she and Booth were left in the altar (Angela's theory), or if she really just wasn't comfortable leaving the lab while they haven't found someone to fill in for Zack (Brennan's reason), or if she's mad at Booth for not stopping Zack from going to Iraq (Booth's assumption). Whatever the reason, it was interesting to watch. Weird, but interesting nonetheless.

I haven't seen any other changes in the other characters (except for Zack's and Jack's hair) so I'm not going to say anything about them now.

A new killer is on the loose. There's nothing more disturbing than humans eating humans. I'm excited to know what this season will bring.
  • Welcome back Bones

I really enjoyed this episode, one of the best premires so far this season. Many great elements.

*The opening sequence, with the skull hitting the windshield, was scary and well filmed. I liked that a lot.

*The guy who wanted Zack's job was adorable! He wanted it so badly and was so good at it! But then he knew exactly when it was time to step aside. I can't help but wonder if he'll somehow pop up again in the future.

*Hodgens' haircut's cute! *I like the scenes with Hodgens, Angela, and the P.I. Very funny, and I want them to be married already!

*Another good scene was Booth and Cam. Their friendship is the best part of her being on the show.

*I'm happy that Booth and Bones patched things up. Their relationship is too much fun, it's always better when they're getting along.

*The best part of the whole episode was Zack. First his surprise return, which was a great moment. Then how he saw what Bones didn't twice and it was exactly who and what they needed to solve the crime. And best of all, the scene he had with Cam about why he was sent home. I've felt for awhile that in seasons one and two he was woefully underused and not given enough storyline. I hope this was a preview of better use of the character of Zack!
  • Nice!!!

    "Superb"
Great start for the series. It wasn't my favorite eppie, but definately great.

    * I love Hodgins' new hair style. Somehow he looks even more sexy! And the scenes with him, Angela and the detective were funny. Loved his "titan" lines.

    * Angela's face whenever she sees Hodgins is great! Seems like they're really in love!

    * Zack is back! I was so scared they would keep him away longer. I totally love his social awkwardness, especially since he is such a genius when it comes to bones.

    * I wonder if the writers are going to move more towards a really close friendship between Cam and Booth. Although they don't have the chemistry Booth and Bones have, they do fit well together as friends.

    * Bones was GREAT! I loved the way she tried to convince everyone she didn't go out in the field because of Zack's absence - even though it was quite obvious to me (maybe I'm wrong, though) that something was sitting between Booth and herself. It's clear she cares a lot for Zack, and I quite believe that she could have been upset with Booth for not trying to stop him. Had to laugh, though, when she almost ran out of the lab to work with Booth as soon as Zack was back! The coffee cup scene was great!!! The chemistry between these two is so obvious. Booth is so zoned in on her feelings - I would love to see a little more "tension" like that in the future, as long as they don't really try a relationship between them. I don't think that would work.

Finally, I wonder if they're going to bring Zack's last possible replacement back later on. He looked good and it could make for a nice interesting change.
  • Bones is back!

This episode was good, i'll say that, it just wasn't fantastic. There was a cannibal dude, and if i remember correctly, they have already have a cannibal dude. How many cannibal dudes does one meet in such a short space of time? That aside, i liked it. Bones was acting off for some reason, i think it was because Booth hadn't stopped Zach from leaving, and Booth was acting all puppy dog. Actually, that made for good viewing. And Zach came back, which i was a bit surprised about really. I think he should have stayed away for more than 1/4 of an episode, but i'm not complaining. He's cute. There were some nice BB moments...transmitter and coffee cup to name a few (or the ones that i can remember right now anyhow), so lets hope there's more ST to come. And lets hope Hodgins' hair grows quickly too.
  • A good way to start off this season. First case sets them on the trail of a cannibalistic serial killer. But the characters seem out of character, at times.

    8.8
    "Great"
With the opening scene the fear that our beloved Zach was really gone started to sink in. Bones was in the process of interviewing a possable replacement for him. Booth was doing what he could to try and get her back in the field, but she seemed to have something keeping her from working with him, beside her excuse of finding a replacement. And Angela and Jack hire a PI to try and find her first husband, so she can anul their marrage and get on to marry Jack.

The case begins with a skull hitting a car. Soon the crew starts searching for the rest of the body, when suddenly in walks Zach, into the loving arms of his lab family. Clues bring Booth and Bones to a vault, that has artifacts in it, and more bones, that appear to have been displayed by a cannibalistic serial killer. This was an enjoyable episode but it seemed more like it was more of a second season premier episode, not a third season one. There were times during the episode when the characters seemed awkward, and Bones seemed different compared to the last two seasons. And to me the ep lost points in the last scene, between Booth and Bones. What should have been a tender friendship moment between them, was over shadowed by the poor CG background, that I couldn't take my eyes off. But I just love the fact that the show is back and they start with such a great case.
  • Good way to start the season. Looks like it will be a season for the return of the serial killer.

This was a great episode. I thought that the awkwardness of Booth and Bones was entertaining for this ep anyway. Hope they get back to the usual dynamic in the next one though. Bones not wanting to leave the lab for a change was good. And I liked Booth trying to figure out why it showed how in the last two seasons he went from being annoyed that she was his partner to really liking it. Angela with Booth in the interrogation room was hilarious. I like Hodgin's more clean shaven look. It was funny to watch how Hodgins was smiling and laughing through the process of trying to find Angela's husband until the end when he had a justified and funny jealous moment. I am also glad that Zack is back. Judging from this episode we will see a couple of faceless bad guys. I expect the grave digger will make a return. And this case wasn't solved so I would be surprised if we didn't hear from him again.
  • We're back!!

    "Superb"
What a good start, I'm really pleased about this episode. The case was awesome! Mysterious, gross, mystical, psychotic and smart in a very twisted way. I really want to know what happens next with this serial killer.

Booth and Bones priceless as usual, Booth's face was so cute while saying "you used to correct me".

Zack is back and the reason for that was what I predicted, the lab is not the same without him.

Really liked Cam on this one, she's definitely a member of this squad.

Hodgins freaking out at the picture of Berimbau was very funny.

So, a really good start containing all the aspects of this show we love so much. Can't wait for the next one!
