I liked this episode very much. Somehow it managed to combine violence and grimness with a light touch.

Bones as Roxie was great - lovely to see another side of her. Booth - well we all know that he has a fun side and obviously a eye for what would look good on a girl.

Ok it was bloody and violent with poor Booth getting the brunt of it.

The interspersing of his fight with the work at the Jeffersonian was terrifically effective, but it was a good job that he had Brennan to help him defeat his opponent!

More back story for Booth as well ,not only was he a gambler (which we already knew) but had been a boxer when in the army.

  • Booth and Bones kick it in Vegas, going undercover in an underground boxing circle, searching for a murderer.

I love it when Booth and Bones get to go on location, and this is definitely the best of them. Nothing is better than a case in Las Vegas.

I have nothing but good things to say about this wonderful episode. Although I could have done without the poker chip seques. Booth is awesome as Tony. I love this side of David Boreanaz, when he gets to play the fun guy. And wow, did Bones look great in that dress. Her Roxanne was beautiful too. The chemistry between the two is white hot, and you get sure signs of it in this episode. Even Angela notices a bit.

Zach and Hodgin's fight talk was great. I love Zach to pieces, and seeing him punch Hodgins was so funny.

Seeing Booth fight was great too. Having it intercut with the team watching their own fight was cool, how their comments fit with what Booth was doing.

    A perfect piece of television.
  • A very unusual episode about a woman bare-knuckles fighter.

    9.5
    "Superb"
The investigation certainly goes in an unexpected direction: no-holds-barred bare-knuckle boxing, Fight Club style. Even weirder, the fighter who died was a woman. Marisol is quite compelling argument – it's an alternative to prostitution when you're a single mother with a 2 year old.

This is a very rare time when Brennan and Booth go undercover together and two things are worth commenting on: 1/ Brennan looks fantastic and 2/ Booth was extremely impressive in the fight. Nice twist to the story.

Very cute when Hodgins provokes Zach into hitting him. It was an utterly pathetic punch but it did give Hodgins a bloody nose.

    Fun, interesting, even educational episode.

in this ep of bones bones and booth go to las vegas to investgate two murders and it turns out after doing more invegating they leared she was fighter and she did underground . and doing even more investgating they learned that there was lone shark invovled that did the booking and his son that was invovled and they were the ones that commited the murders. and booth gets into one of the fights and bones helps him win it . this was a good ep and it had some funny moments in it .and that is why i gave it a 9

Bones is shown in a new light here, when she sheds her lab, smart-girl persona and lets anther side of her out. Great moments with Booth and Brennan under cover and acting as a couple. So convincing! I loved the part when she puts on the dress Booth picks out and he can barely talk because he likes what he sees so much. Even better is that she has no idea that she looks good to anyone, especially him. The scene when she was on the phone with Cam and Andrea was amazing! "That's hot," he says as he zips up her dress. Such an amazing episode with glimpses of what is to come if they would just get together already!!!
  • Another flirtatious partnership??? Surely they can do better.

I absolutely love this series, I admit to being extremely biased because I love anything that David is in, but I believe this show really has a great cast.

However, the whole flirting thing between the main cast members is overrated and overdone.

We went through it with Moonlighting, X-Files, Cheers and each and everytime the show suffered terribly afterwards in my honest opinion. It disappoints me that we can't just watch a show unfold without there being this 'sexual tension'.

Once they have put a 'relationship' between these characters the show then seems to revolve around the next step and the daily goings on in their relationships. YAWN.

Have a close friendship, a close bond and certainly show a respect for eachother, but just for once spare us the potential relationship.
  • Booth and Bones taking Sin City by storm, ready for action..

    9.7

When the skeletal remains and the body of a woman are found in the desert outside Las Vegas, Booth and Bones go undercover to investigate. We get to see Booth and Bones argue about their “disguise” and not being so awkward in “pretending” to be an engaged couple Tony and Roxy. Later on, Booth entered an underground fighting competition to get information about the case, taking a few harsh blows on the way. Meanwhile back in the lab, Hodgins is surprised when Zack tells him that he has never fought in his life, as he never saw the logic in it. This make Hodgins irritated and he tells Zack that he is dragging on his dissertation because “he has no drive and no passion for what he loves”. This makes Zack angry and Hodgins get punched in the nose.

In this episode of Bones, the following happens. A body is found in the dessert just outside of Vegas and so Bones and Booth are flown there to investigate. They believe that the body may belong that to an attorney who disappeared 5 years ago, just before the trial of the mob. Soon Bones discovers a female victim who was killed only a week to 10 days ago. Soon the male victim is identified as the man who went missing 5 years ago. Soon the female victim is identified, and goes by the nickname "Billie". At first it is believed that she as being beaten by her husband, but then they learn that she was an ultimate fighter and they believe that she had recently gone underground for fighting. Booth and Bones go undercover, and Booth picks Bones's clothes for her. They get into an underground fight and soon Booth gets knocked out and we learn that the fighting who punched him is an undercover FBI agent. In order to keep his cover, Booth goes into a fight with the agent, but at the last minute, the agent is pulled from the fight and so Booth has to fight someone who is much bigger and stronger than him. But thanks to Bones and her helpful tips, Booth manages to win the fight. Soon they learn that they were wrong and that it was in fact the same person who killed the attorney who also killed Billie. Son the evidence leads them to the killer, who is the bloke (Joe) who runs the boxing club. But when Booth and Bones talk to him, he admits that he buried both bodies, but it was Nicky (the guy who runs the bets for the underground fighting) who killed both of them.
  • The first Bones episode i've ever seen and I just totally loved it!

The first Bones episode i've ever seen and I just totally loved it! Loved the tension between Bones and Booth..Also loved the underground boxing. Vegas gave the case some extra flair, because in Washington it would be just an ordinary case after this ep I was just totally addicted to Bones..At first I thought that Booth and Brennan were a couple, because of how close they are in this ep... after this episode I Bought the DVD from season 1 right away and the funny coincidence was that I was sick for the next 3 days, So I saw whole season 1. After that I watch Bones every week
  • This was a very interesting episode. In it we saw Bones in a very different light, and it seems that Booth really liked what he saw. Both in the outfit that she wore when they arrived in Las Vegas and both later on Bones looked very attractive.

Booth and Bones had to go underground, and Booth risked his life a lot. First he is an ex-gambler and had to be in a casino, and secondly he had to go and fight in the underground.

Yet again it showed how good of a team Bones and Booth are, because even during a fight it was thanks to Bones tips that Booth managed to win.
  • Bones is called in to check out skeleton of a federal prosecutor outside Las Vegas, they then find the body of a woman a few yards away. The investigation leads them into the world of ultimate underground fighting.

    "Superb"
One of my favourite episodes so far in Bones. When Bones and Booth are brought to Las Vegas to check out the skeleton of a federal prosecutor, they find the body of a woman a few yards away. The woman's injuries lead Brennan to believe she had a long history of violence. They are led to a Vegas loan shark, where an anonymous lead takes them to the world of gambling and underground ultimate fighting, where Booth and Brennan go undercover as Vegas high-rollers. I'd give it a seven out of ten because it wasn't that great during various parts of it.
  • Brilliant!

Too bad I missed the first 5 minutes of the episode, because I thought it was fantastic. The plot was excellent and original for a show wheret basically you get to see the two main characters go from a lab to an FBI office most of the time. So, Las Vegas! With Hodgins & Angela flirting forgotten (for the moment), we have Booth & Brennan for us the shippers. Their chemistry is wonderful. Again, they looked great together. It was fun to see Brennan as Roxie and Booth getting excited for it.

I cant believe that people would actually fight without any protection, how they can stand the pain and how others enjoyed that. Everyone did a great job solving the case especially B&B. Talk about team work when Brennan was telling Booth how to nail the big guy... The way she cares about him. Seeing them playing newlyweds was funny and gave us fans a little bit something about them that would not happen in a while.

Favorite moments: Zack and Hodgins talk, Brennan and Booth touching their butts and the last scene. Pure care and love.

  • This episode was refreshing and I loved the humor.

It was refreshing to see the show step away from the science a little and show more of the interaction between Booth and Bones. When two bodies are found in the dessert outside of Las Vegas Booth and Bones go undercover to try and crack the case. Booth and Bones pretend to be a newly engaged couple looking for a good time in Sin City. While undercover Booth and Bones discover an underground world boxing which leads into Booth entering a fight. Back at the lab Hodgins badgers Zack about never being in a fight and deliberately makes Zack so mad that he punches Hodgins. This episode is one of my favorites because I absolutely love seeing Booth and Bones work together in cases like this.
  • It's BB undercover in Sin City...come on, you just know this is gonna be a good one!!!

Okay, so Bones gets called on the scene when a girl boxer is found dead in the desert just ouside Vegas, and as part of the investigation BB go undercover as Tony and Roxy, A New York couple who are in Vegas looking for a good time. This involves some rather hilarious fake accents and alot of Bones in a very tiny dress. It also involves Booth getting all hot and sweaty in an underground boxing match, which I found very pleasing...This episode stands out as being really different to most of the others this season. Alot of the episodes have been very heavy and dramatic, so it was nice to see the writers step back and write some comedy. This ep also featured alot of development in the BB realationship (the scene where she walks out of the bathroom wearing her dress was great) and thats always nice to see.
  • B & B go to Vegas to investigate the murder of a long missing federal prosecutor. While there, they find a more recent victim. To solve her crime, B & B go undercover into the high stakes world of illegal/no holds barred/underground fight clubs.

I thought the writers did a terrific job on this one. It's got a very different feel than the other shows. And that's the thing I really love about it. It felt completely unique and original. I loved Tony & Roxy. Loved seeing DB in the ring w/ Monroe! I thought it was one of the more fun episodes this season. It broke the mold and that was refreshing.

This was an amazing episode in this episode bones and booth are trying to solve 2 murders so they go under cover in vegas to blend in. This episode was also sooo funny like when jack got mad at zack because hes never been in a fight so zach puches him was hilarious!! I also loved the part when booth said bones was hot when cam was listening! everyone knows they are totally in love with each other! This was one of my favorite episodes of the season so far! i really just want booth and bones to get together already!
  • I loved it when booth and bones went under cover haha that was great! At the end of the Girl with the Curl and the preview came up for The Woman in the Sand I was like omg I can't wait!

I couldn't wait till the episode! I watched the girl with the curl like a million times till the woman in the sand came on because I couldn't stand to wait! Loved it to death when booth and bones went undercover! Especially when booth gave her the dress he picked out and he had like that freeze moment and hes like yea..like that. Or something. I think Ive watched this episode like atleast 30 or 40 times. The night it came on I had already watched it like 3 times on my DVR. Tony and Roxy....I'm thinking that Em and David should do a commentary on this ep for sure when the season 2 discs come out!! =] cant waiiit!
  • Bones and Booth go undercover in Vegas!

    9.8
    "Superb"
What a hilarious episode! Bones and Booth undercover was soo funny! Loved how Bones impersonated the under character with all the slapping and pulling money from her dress! It was nice too see how she passed information to Booth so that he could win the fight and the beginers luck thing. Ooh and the dress scene when Booth gets speechless about Bones figure and then when Angie and Cam overhears "That's hot" was just fabulous. But I have to say that this time my favorite scene doesn't involve Bones or Booth but Zach and Hodgins: "You're a dull vulcan!" and the punch. I laughed so much!

    Wait to go Bones!
  • Great episode! Bones and Booth undercover.

Bones and Booth go undercover in Vegas! Booth goes fight club! Bones gambling! What more could you want from an episode? Well maybe we could have done with a little more romance between Bones and Booth, but this episode was about as good as you can get. My all time favorite part is when Bones is on the phone in the little black dress, and Booth says That's hot and Cam and Angela is like Whats Hot?! Then Brennan stammers Vegas is very ho ho hot. That was hilarious.

This episode was difinately one of the best of the season! Thats all for now folks.
  • Bones and Booth head to Sin City to solve the crime of a federal prosecutor's death and with some undercover work (Bones sporting a sexy dress and Booth fighting in an underground fight club) they talk a retired boxer into redemption.

    9.5
    "Superb"
This episode was fun but a little out of the ordinary for "Bones". There was too much of a surreal feel to the cast being out in the "real world" and the episode dealt with too many issues all at once. Apparently Booth had a gaming program and Bones' ignorance of the world beyond her lab walls grows weary. She picks up vegas games quickly but without emotion. It is good that some more serious issues of what happens to the dissillusioned youths of Vegas got addressed, but it was almost in a flippant way (probably because the undercover characters played were flippant). I did like the way Bones showed Booth how to take down the giant who was beating him senseless in the ring by observing his physical limitations and passing them along but all in all not one of my favorite episodes. This show excels due to an ensemble cast and there wansn't as much use of them in this episode.
  • not what i expected

I thought there would be a few more Booth/brennan moments, but overall I loved this episode. They didn't focus on the crime much, but i didn't mind. THey got THIS close to kissing several times. and the butt slpping thing was funny.

brennan and booth had those lame accents, which i didn't like though. I was happy to see less of cam in this episode and to have booth say: that's hot and have her hear! i was craking up. and when zach punched hodgins!! very good! i'd like to see stuff like this more often. and that's really all.
  • Foxy Lady and a Well-dressed Man…

So I really liked this episode. I know that part of it is a bias that I have being from Vegas and the old-school rat pack style that Bones and Booth adopted when they went undercover. Instead of a formal review I am just going to point out a few highlights…I liked when Booth was tongue-tied when he saw Bones in the skin-tight dress. I laughed when he was trying to zip up her dress and she was on the phone and Angela and Cam were trying to figure out what was going on. I loved that Bones couldn’t walk in heels. The counting cards scene was funny because she is such a dork and we know that she wouldn’t get what she was doing wrong (although being from Vegas I did have some issues with the whole scene). Last I like the tender moment at the end when Bones told Booth why she bet on him…so sweet.

Booth+Brennan+Las Vegas = Life is Great for Viewers.

What more could a person want from a show? All the banter and bickering as usual. Favorite parts:

    1. Zack hits Hodgins. ROFL.

    2. Booth says "Thats hot" and then you see Cams face. Great!

    3. Booth's speeclessness when Brennan comes out in the dress. (Liked the dresses btw. very pretty)

    4. Like there names and when Booth says "That was... Amazing..." and then she says, "My dad used to watch shows like that."-Well something like that. 5. "Them boots, they aint made for walking sweetheart."

Episode as in whole, Muy Caliente (Dont know what it means, look it up. Its Spanish.)
  • Zack punching Jack was very funny, especialy the look on Hodgins face after the punch.

I really liked this episode. The little show that Bones and Booth put on was great(Emily looked amazing in that dress btw). I loved the last scene where Bones explains why she betted on Booth <3. Zack punching Jack was very funny, especialy the look on Hodgins face after the punch. Not so much Cam in this episode and that\'s always a good thing ;), I still don\'t like her character very much. What I really love about Brennan is that about a lot of things she is ridiculously smart but about other things (like for example casino games or movies and television) she is completely clueless. Bones: What\'s that game called again?

    Booth: Craps.

    Bones: What\'s the matter now?

Booth: No it\'s the game, it\'s called craps.
  • Booth/Bones all the way!

    "Perfect"
This is going to be one of the best Bones' episodes, no doubt of that. Personally I was a little disappointed by 2 things:

First, Brennan gambling. I don't know you, but if my friend was an addict I wouldn't be doing it in front of him... no matter what addiction it was (would you drink alcohol with your alcoholic friend around you?)

Second, I would had love to see more B/B interaction outside the case. Come on!!! they were on the same room! The writers had the opportunity to have so much fun teasing us with something as simple as taking care of his wounds. They decided not to do it.

Besides that it was not the best case/plot (although I liked that it was a different thing to see) but that doesn't matter on this episode. A lot of funny moments and priceless moments. I liked when he found his "friend" - the gambling addict. I think that David did a wonderful job on that scene, I could actually feel his pain when he saw how he was, maybe remembering that on one time he was like him, or that he could be right now like that if for whatever reason we don't know he wouldn't get out of that world.

In conclusion, two disappointing things for me but that doesn't matter, it was a fantastic episode and is a MUST see one.
  • Bones meets Las Vegas.

    10
    "Perfect"
When Bones first started I thought I was watching Fox’s Las Vegas, I was half expecting Ed Deline or Danny McCoy to walk in on a scene, at first the audience was treated to the usual Brennan and Booth examining the skeleton remains of a Federal Agent who died five years previously which then leads them to find the decomposed body of a women only yards away, Booth suspects a mob killing ( well it is LA ), this leads our pair to go undercover to track down the killer, what we didn’t expect was what was to follow...

Of course we have come to expect the usual slice of Bones, the decomposed or skeleton remains of a body or bodies are found then it’s up to Booth and Brennan with the help of the crew at the Jefferson to track down the murderer added with a smattering of intrigue love interest and humour, however in this episode we got humour all the way and too many to mention, I have never laughed so much when Hodgins was taunting Zack and Zack biffed him on the nose, love Hodgins comment ’dude you’re a vulcan and a dull vulcan at that’ plus the chemistry between Bones and Booth playing an engaged couple with Brennan acting like a gangsters mol.

I was a little disappointed that there was no continuation of the Angela/Hodgins love feast from last week but I’m sure it will come back, I did notice another little spark between Brennan and Booth at the end. All in all this was one of the best and most hilarious episodes of Bones so far, I think the writers need to put this in as next weeks episode looks to be an edge of seat thriller.
  • It was just so silly and cute and so funny

    9.8
    "Superb"
I really loved this one. Brennan made me laugh so hard when she put on her little shows and she looked so hott!!!

The case was exciting because Booth and Brennan just seemed to take it into there own hands and have fun while investigating a murder. It was just different to see the characters like that but not in an OoC (Out of character) way.

Hodgins and Zack were really awesome together. I loved Hodgins trying to get Zack pissed and Zack being Zack and trying to be all rational. He really is just like Brennan sometimes. Hodgins and Angela yuck! They were totally avoiding each other and it was not working for the episode. It seemed like nothing happened last week. And Angela seemed happy in a creepy way when Marisol was brought into the lab. Something was way wrong with her.

How they sent Marisol to the lab and they did that live autopsy or whatever seemed a bit unrealistic.

Oh and Brennan telling Booth all that stuff about his opponent and Booth being all like huh was quite amusing I even understood that Bren was saying hit him there! LOL that was good.

Really amazing episode with few flaws.
  • Ok episode

An average episode but they need to quit taking plots from old "Angel" episodes. Booth and Bones acting like a married couple was cute. Next week's episode looks like it is going to be great. Hopefully Angela and Jack get together at the end. I read that Kathy Reichs is going to be one the episode with Zach's dissertation. That should be good.

Adoraaaaaaable!! totlly, this apisode is amazing. Brennen is soo cool, and what a character change, I was laughing my eyes out. These two are the real deal, hehe just like Bonny and Clyde ;) with the proffession difference. Brennen adapts to anything, relly she's adorable; now that's an excellent episode unlike the one where Booth played around!! Keep up!!

The last time I laughed like that was in "Mother and Child in the Bay", where they had to take turns stabbing the dummy.

I really enjoyed this episode. At the beginning, I thought I was watching CSI with all the casinos. Anyway, what else can I say, Booth and Bones looked great as a couple. I almost gagged when she came out of the bathroom in that first dress she wore, it's a good thing Booth made her change into something sexier.

I also had a good laugh when Cam sort of got jealous.

And that slapping the rear was priceless!

Great, funny episode. I still can't stop snickering.
