As Brennan is leaving Booth's bathroom, you can see Mario Lemieux's Pittsburgh Penguins jersey hanging on the wall. Booth also has a glass item on his desk that has the Philadelphia Flyers' symbol on it. This is funny because the Flyers and Penguins are big rivalsthey are both Eastern Division in the Atlantic Conferenceand you either like one team or the other, not both.
All of the replacement bones (which belong to known victims) relate to their jobs:
Gavin Nichols (his pinky finger): as a violinist, his finger was essential to his music, and was insured for millions
Father Cooper (his knee caps): as Booth said, he would have spent a lot of time kneeling
Mr. Porter (his jaw bone): he was a lobbyist, and lobbyists tend to do a lot of talking
There are five clocks on the wall in Booth's bathroom. They are all set at different times: 1:40, 2:10, 11:50, 10:05 and 8:35.
In earlier episodes it was stated that Gormogon only takes widows' sons as apprentices, yet Zack has both of his parents - they're alive and well in Michigan. Even though Zack worked in the Jeffersonian and had special access to Gormogon's vault, Gormogon still broke his own rule by making Zack his apprentice.
Goof: During Sweets' interview on TV, victims' bodies are shown - the second body shown is that of Ed Milner, who was discovered in the "Death in The Saddle" episode and who has nothing to do with the Gormogon case.
When Brennan and her student are talking about the skeleton from Limbo, Brennan says the femur indicates a height of approximately 180cm. When asked what that is in English, she says about 5'8". 180cm is actually just under 5'11".
Goof: Booth explains to Sweets that Bones was mad "because she didn't know I was dead." But she was actually mad because she didn't know that he was really alive.
Goof: In the scene where the squints are reenacting Tommy's death, Cam's hair is up. However, when she says the throat and trachea were sliced, her hair is down. In the next shot, her hair is up again.
Goof: In the very last shot of the episode, from Booth's point of view Brennan's hair is wavy/curly. However, in the rest of the scene her hair is clearly straight.
Goof: As Booth is lying on the ground he's holding Brennan's left hand. When Brennan goes to wrap her left arm around him, her hand is free, but immediately back in his hand when the shot switches.
Goof: In the very last scene when Pam shoots Booth, Booth drops his gun and it falls to the floor. When he first drops the gun it is to the left of the screen, almost under a chair and far away from Brennan. As Pam goes to shoot Brennan and Brennan reaches for Booth's gun to defend herself, it has been conveniently placed beside her for her to grab.
Goof: When Zack is recalled to the witness stand by the defense, the defense attorney asks if the defense's forensic expert can question Zack pro hac vice. The term pro hac vice translates to "for this event," and is a motion made by a person who is a member of the bar in a jurisdiction other than the jurisdiction of the court, requesting permission to practice law in the court's jurisdiction for only a specific matter or case. Unless the defense expert was a member in good standing of the bar in another state, a judge would not have allowed him to question Zack.
In "Judas on a Pole", the episode where Deputy Director Kirby was murdered, Max slipped a commerative Christopher Columbus coin in his mouth, just like he did with the others in a corrupt group of people he murdered. It seems odd that the Columbus/Max correlation wasn't mentioned in an attempt to connect him to the murder of Kirby.
When Bones is standing alone on the stairs outside the court house, Booth can be seen standing behind a pillar in the background.
Goof: At the end when Brennan hugs Booth, his arms are on top of hers and around her neck. When the camera switches to Angela, Brennan's arms are around Booth's neck.
When Brennan is in court she is wearing her mother's earrings, the same ones that Booth found in the episode "The Man in the Morgue".
Dr. Sweets' college education:
Undergraduate - psychology degree from the University of Toronto
Masters - degree in abnormal psychology from Temple University
Doctorate - degrees in clinical psychology and behavioral analysis from Columbia University
Sweets also was awarded Fulbright and Rhodes scholarships simultaneously to write a book.
Goof: In the scene when Brennan and Booth pull up to the trailer, the car seat with baby Andy is facing forwards, but when Booth enters the trailer and Brennan is shown playing with Andy, the car seat is clearly facing the back.
The baby (Andy) is revealed in the story to be a newborn, but the actual baby himself (or even herself by the looks of it in some shots) is well over 6 months old.
When Booth and Bones go to the trailer and see the door open, Booth worries that the situation might have gotten dangerous. He tells Bones to stay in the car with Andy and drive away if anything happens, and Bones promises him she will. Bones doesn't get into the driver's side of the car though, so if something did happen, she'd never be able to drive away on time.
