Bonkers: (to Fireball Frank) Freeze! You're under arrest! It's all over! End of the line! It's the big house for you! You're taking a trip up the river! (to Miranda) Help me out here, I need some clichés!
Miranda: Sir, Officer Piquel sent Bonkers a message. Sgt. Grating: You don't say? From the Great Beyond? Did his shoe talked to you? Bonkers: Oh, don't be silly. It was this can. Sgt. Grating: OUT! And if you want your buddy's career to blossom, stand clear of toons who talk to cans! (slams his office door) Miranda: We're going to find Lucky and if he doesn't like it, well-well-well that's just too bad!
Chief Kanifky: I was working on the eulogy I thought I run it by you. (reads paper out loud) "Officer Pickle was a big man. In more ways than one. He wasn't just tall, he was fat too." Bonkers: That's so beautiful! (burst out into tears) Chief Kanifky: Yes! That's the reaction I was looking for.
Bonkers: (about Lucky) I still can't believe he's gone. Gone to that big squat car in the sky. Chief Kanifky: Ah, Bonkers, my fine toon. I'm planning a memorial service to commemorate the cherish memory of uh, uh, well you know, that chubby guy. Pickle, was it? Miranda: Piquel, sir. Chief Kanifky: Don't tell me he's dead too.
Bonkers: There. I've disarmed the bomb. Clever of me, no? Lucky: No! It's armed and dangerous!
Fallapart: This would be the cook's day off. Jitters: You have a cook? Fallapart: No, but if I did, this would be his day off.
Miranda: Look, Bonkers, I- I just want you to know I'm going to do my best to fill [Lucky's] shoes. Bonkers: Aw, that's sweet. No offense, Miranda, but you just can't. See, 'cause Lucky had very large shoes. Miranda: I understand. Bonkers: No, no, no. I-I mean big. The man had huge feet. Those were custom made shoes he wore. Miranda: I was, of course, only speaking figuratively.
Lucky's last episode.
Miranda's name is a police procdure reference. When an officer arrests a suspect, they must recite what the arrested's rights are such as, "You have the right to remain silent, etc..." These are more commonly referred to as Miranda rights. Clever, no?
Toon Disney is skipping this episode in its airing of Bonkers. They have replayed all the episodes seven times and still they don't air this episode.
