The symbols on the "Bonkers" banner (on the roof of the skyscraper where Bonkers captures Z-Bot) are not random. The sign is written in Katakana (one of Japanese alphabets) and really reads "bo-n-ka:-zu" - the Japanese way to spell "bonkers".
