Born Country is CMT's new show which depicts a more traditional America. The show's main aim is to deal with the best the country culture has to offer, as it follows the different lives of people in today's rural America. Born Country looks at the never before seen side of the country life, a side that shocks and provokes admiration at the same time. Country culture is surprisingly fascinating due to its habits and peculiarities, as we meet with extraordinarily common characters, all which have their own country background: 'Dukes of Hazard' fanatics, karaoke moms and redneck wedding crashers. The show presents the more rural America in all its splendor, the farms, the country life, the old Texan bars and ranches, anything country related. Following the lives of different extravagant characters, the authentic country way of life is revealed to the viewers. This show presents Americans who are keen to preserve their way of life, out-of-the ordinary and authentic. Born Country can be shocking to some, entertaining to others.
