Born Equal

Show Summary

This one-off drama, starring Colin Firth, Anne-Marie Duff, David Oyelowo and Robert Carlyle followed the stories of ordinary British people affected in different ways by homelessness and poverty. The drama, created by Bafta Award-winning writer and director Dominic Savage, allowed the actors to improvise their own dialogue - a method used frequently by Savage. The story begins when wealthy City worker Mark's (Colin Firth) conscience and guilt about his luxurious lifestyle begins to get too much, prompting him to try to help those less fortunate. As his quest develops turmoil soon ensues for him and the others he meets.
