Alas I am more than a 'bit behind' as I am watching it this show on a UK schedule. I nearly gave it a miss as I know it has been cancelled and I hate to waste time watching shows that get cancelled but this is definitely worth it. Tom Kane has to be one of THE great tv hero-villians (or anti-hero's as they are more commonly known) It takes a really great actor to make you root for a guy that is so completely and utterly ruthless. self-absorbed and willing to sacrifice those he holds dear just to save his own skin. Watching the scene where he throws his own daughter (and her lover) to the wolves, even though he has just found out that he has been betrayed by (almost) eveyone else he holds dear, even though she is the only one he can confide in, even after he has just told her he loves her and despite the fact that she has been providing him with life saving medication. Wow. I feel like I have been punched in the stomach! Even whilst watching the scene I still couldn't believe that he would do that and thought 'there must be some other kind of explanation. I LOVE it in shows where the main protaganist is backed into such an impossible situation that you can't imagine how they will recover, but they do, and they reak bloody havok on those that dared to turn against them. It will be interesting to see if he plays the long the game and waits to wreak biblical vengence on Meredith or if he decides to spare her as she is the all he is left and despite it all quite a valuable resource. I am just relieved that this show made it for 2 seasons as I would be devasted if it all ended now. I almost felt sorry for (apologies for the spelling) zajevic - his wife is a real ball breaker (loved her too by the way) and the scene where she chews him out and tells him to suck it up grovel was definitley worth rewinding. Can't wait for the next episode as far as I am concerned Kelsey's golden globe was well deserved and more of the cast should've been nominated - including writers and directors etc.moreless
