Boston Blackie, played by Kent Taylor on television, was originally the hero of more than a dozen 1940s "B" movies, and the lead protagonist in this memorable TV show that aired in syndication from 1951 until 1953. Blackie was the enemy of those who made him an enemy, friend of those who had no friend, a reformed crook now turned detective, living in Los Angeles.
