This was one of the first episodes this Season that Alan and Denny worked together on a case, and it was brilliant for that. Alan and Denny being at odds caused some hilarious moments, especially as the clashed and played practical jokes on each other. I also liked how Denny proved he was a caring man, beneath his rather closed minded exterior. It was an entertaining case, and also highlighted how far Alan is prepared to go, not giving a damn about the consequences.
Lori and Tara's storyline, however, dragged the episode down a notch- it just wasn't all that entertaining. It was quite amusing seeing Tara flirt with the opposition to gain information, and a nice element where Brad admits his feelings for Lori, but it just was a bit of a filler B-story compared to the main plot- a shame, because with Lori's last week plot combined with Denny and Alans, we would have had a real winner.
Overall, however, another strong episode the show consistantly pulls out.
