I really loved this episode. I am a big fan of Catherine Piper, and I thought her trial was brilliant in this episode. Her and Alan have a good friendship.

Denny and Alan's friendship was also brilliantly written in this episode, as its so often is. Their conversation while Denny was fishing in the sewer was touching, and I loved the site of them walking at the end.

Denny's trial was in itself entertaining- it brought a lot of laughs, especially his closing argument. It was very entertaining.

The priest returning to blackmail Sara was also entertaining- there were some very funny moments brought by the pair of them.

Overall- a balance of humour, touching moments and drame- and making all the plots as entertaining as each other- a rare treat in a Series.
  • Really enjoyed this one.

So Tara is offically gone. Poor Alan is stil trying to get over her leaving. So Denny tries to help him. Meanwhile Alan is up in court defending Catherine on her murder charge. Alan wins the case narrowly but he shares a hug with Catherine for the first time. Also Denise and Shirely argue in court for the use of weapons in America, and they recieve a little help from Denny as he brings in a musket into the courtroom. Overall really liked the episode. It was not quite as good as the previous episode but it still help me. Can wait to see the next episode.
  • You can't send Rose to jail, well.......what would the girls think of Alan Shore. The gen segment was Very, Very Good! Definitely good writing, kinda surreal, but point brought home when Denny Crane shot up courtroom. People kill people not guns, only a

Poor Alan, Tara is gone, take a moment.........................Ok, moving on. He was great defending the old bitty lol lol. The new female lawyer don't like her she is too ditzy. On the other hand her two assistants are great in their roles. Get rid of her and bring back the original bleach blonde, in the first season that didn't like Shore. She was good in her role. This actor is not believable, I don't care how good she does her lines. This is not her for that character, find a new person.
  • Denny the frick Crane, ladies and gentlemen. Denny the frick Crane.

Ah, at last the question arises as to Denny's secret fear, that he's no longer as great as he once was. A great episode for Shatner, especially the great look when Denny learns he's representing a Democrat. The stuff with the guns was a bit much but funny. While dressing up in the colonial outfit was over the top even for him, Denny's closing was absolutely brilliant and once again I'm struck by how I cannot picture anyone but Shatner in this role.

Was surprised that in the murder trial, no one brought up the fact that it was Alan who got the killer off in the first place. Alan did do a great closing as well and Betty White was brilliant as always. Seeing them hug was a nice touch but I hope we see Betty going back to her biting comments on everyone soon.

The pastor subplot was really unnecessary and dragged things down. But this was a Shatner show all the way and reminds us just why he's won two Emmys already and this one may just nab him a third.
  • Denny Crane!

This is a fine example of Boston Legal. Denny was funny and crazy all at the same time. Alan was brillant in the court room. And Betty White is a fine example of a great actress. I love the mad cow disease bit. I don't miss Tara at all but I do miss Monica Potter.
