This was a decent episode, definately not bad, but not great either. It was however very funny with some very good performances.



Denny is sued for firing a woman because she is overweight and has Alan defend him in court. Alan Shore is an amazing lawyer, how he could ever argue Denny out of this would be a testament to his skill. The situation is further aggrevated in that their judge is morbidly obese-yet the case ends up dismissed. Whehter it was Alan's arguement or the behavior of the plantiff...it's never really known. Alan did give an interesting speech-even though it looked like Alan was scrambling. Not much of this issue was made, when it could've been a very funny trial.



Alan finally decides to try for a committed relationship with Lorraine, but she reveals to Alan that she is already in one. This could be a big development or not, Alan is very much affected by her presence, and there is a real chemistry there.



Carl Sack Defends Clarence after and embarassing video of him is posted on youtube. John Larroquette's acting was superb, and he further cemented his role on the show. He is witty, tough, and yet caring all at the right times. Great writing for his character and brilliant acting on his part.



Jerry's budding relationship hits a snag after he is afraid of a third date. He's never kissed a woman, and is rather inexperienced in relationships. The woman he is seeing is a natural fit for him, and thankfully things pan out in the end. Jerry is a phenomenal character and his portrayal is amazing.



The murder trial was interesting and it presented the social commentary for the episode. It wasn't overly powerful, but thought provoking just the same. The Balcony scene between Denny and Alan was great. This is easily one of the best parts of the show. It is here where the character dynamics are really displayed and often times a wonderful blend of humor and seriousness are displayed.



Not a bad episode, but not great. You can't hit a home run every time, but you can get on base alot. The episode was very funny, but it lacked a little in the plot and direction.
