This series is by second favourite T.V show, behind the greatness that is House.
I thought this was a perfect season opener, and I forgot how much I enjoyed the episode until I re-watched it. Bizarrely, I only caught Boston Legal on a relevantly unheard of channel called FTN in England, midway through Season 2, so I watched all of Season 2 before starting on this one! Nevertheless, I thought it was a fantastic opening. Not seeing the Practise, I thought Alan Shore was a fantastic creation, and James Spader delivers his lines perfectly. Also Denny was hilariously funny, although, after watching Series 2, it was bizarre to see him "not quite so insand" (despite him sleeping with a client's wife!).
I also thought the characters of Lori and Brad were welcome additions, whilst Tara and Sally added a quite sexy feel. The plots and subplots were all interesting, and the lines, humour and banter were fantastically delivered and written.
Overall, this was a simple yet excellent introduction to life at the crazy law firm of Crane, Poole and Schmidt.
