What always frustrated me about this show is that it got so caught up in the formula and the writers always played it safe. I would have love to see more episodes like this one.



It was a nice touch to see the reality of the economy somewhat reflected in the plot. It was also good to see Shirley and Carl's relationship going somewhere.



I do feel a little bad for Jerry though, it would have been nice if he had gotten what he wanted.



Alan and Denny where themselves and it was a really nice detail to have Edwin Poole back after all these years.

Carl and Shirley were going to have a nice quiet Thanksgiving Dinner. By the time they are thru almost the whole local firm and some other colleagues show up.



The opening scenes were alright. The problem arises when they sit down for dinner. First Alan shoots his mouth off then all hell breaks loose. Not until everyone finds out that Carl was going to propose to Shirley does order get restored and everyone finally has a peaceful dessert.



In the asides to this episode we find out that Jerry is in love with Tara as if we didn't already suspect that one. Shirley is really missing her father who passed away this past year. Denny's Alzheimer seems to be progressing as he forgets things and is a little fuzzy at times. Denny really likes Melvin Palmer even though Alan claims he can't stand him. Also a piece of information that comes out as the firm is Crane, Poole, and Schmidt. Shirley tells Edwin Poole that the firm is going bankrupt. It is at dinner when everyone else including Denny finds out.



Sort of a strange episode which seems to come full circle with Alan starting the trouble then putting a nice wrapping on the package at the end.



Still pretty strange even for Boston Legal though. Thanks for reading...

I found this episode quite funney acually.I though Denny was extremly funney espeically in his racial comments (though I don't agree with them I felt like they were in character and complimented his personallity). I also loved how all of the characters personalities constrast and how the table was just so disfunctional. They start the dinner with grace and they can't get through the first two words with out an agrument about God and politics. I feel like the beginning was extremly funney than it headed down hill. The second half of the episode was not so good. It got very seious I did not like it. overal I though the episode was good because of the Thanksgiving dinner. Other than the one or two scenes it was only ok.
