Betty Jane: You're not going back in there, are you? Rex: Protesting and praying.
Travis: I appreciate your help, Rex. Rex: What's one more life?
Rex: A man who plants a bomb could be a liar.
Travis: Thanks, Rex. I guess that's it 'til the next time. Rex: Well don't call me, I'll call you. Let's pack up and get outta here.
Betty Jane: I'm ducking the reception. Wanna buy me a drink later on? Rex: I'll do better than that. I'll cook you dinner.
Crane: Letters have never killed a man. A live bomb could.
Rex: 30 years. That's a long time to hold a grudge. Betty Jane: Time's a very overrated thing, Rex. It hurts as often as it heals.
Gerard (about the bomber): We stand a better chance of nailing him if there are two sitting ducks. Rex: Quack! Quack!
Betty Jane: Rex, don't you know better than to argue with a woman once she's made up her mind? Especially this woman.
Norman: Aren't you going to look for a clue, Mr. Randolph? Rex: Clues won't do us much good unless we can get out of here.
Norman (to Betty and Rex): In a minute or two you won't need a window to get outta here. We can all go together.
Gerard (after the explosion): Never mind the bomb squad. Send the fire department.
Rex: Just get in the car, lover, and this time no arguments. Betty Jane: Yes, Mr. Randolph.
