Cal (to Lydia): Do you always do things the hard way?
Lydia: I've never had dealings with the police before.
Cal: My partner and I aren't the police.
Lydia (about Maude): She's the one who's always giving. Everyone else just receives. Maybe take's the better word.
Lydia: Look, Mr. Calhoun, I'm paying you to prevent a tragedy if you can. Not interfere in my personal life.
Rex: Any particular clues?
Cal: I'm sorry, Rex. That's all I got but I can use anything you can find out.
Cal: Spearin' frogs is not exactly my long suit.
Wick: That's why I asked you to come along. Never too late to learn. Besides, this'll give us a chance to know each other.
Kenny: You been drinking?
Melody: Only orange juice. Eleven orange juices.
Maude: There's no hatred in this house. I don't allow hatred.
Cal: Sometimes it crops up anyway.
