Episode Recap

Stephanie and Todd's upcoming party is for couples only. Cory is out of luck until Shawn encourages him to ask Wendy Jansen. Cory is wary about asking Wendy out just for the sake of going to the party; it doesn't seem right. "It is right, you're supposed to do that," Shawn implores.
Cory's asks and Wendy readily accepts. Things are going great until Cory realizes that his new girlfriend is thinking long-term. Uncomfortable with his relationships newfound acceleration, Cory writes Wendy a break up note; but when she leaves the oom in tears, he changes his mind. The two hug and things seem alright.
Sitting on a bench at school the next day, Cory day dreams about what his life will be like when he and Wendy are old and married. In his dream, Shawn is still happily patrolling for ladies on a night-by-night basis. Cory himself, a wisecracking old kleptomaniac, makes fun of Wendy; but deep down loves her and the life she's made for him.
Content, Cory meets Wendy at Chubbie's for dinner. He admits to her that he wasn't looking for a girlfriend at first but he's happy things worked out the way they did. Wendy, loathe to base her entire future on a lie, breaks up with him. When Shawn hears the news he's happy that Cory is a free man again and asks him along on a double date. Downtrodden, Cory declines. "I miss Wendy."
Meanwhile, Eric's not allowed to date anymore until he gets his grades up. Jason, eager to help, introduces him to a dating substitute: getting his hair cut by a sexy hairdresser.
