Cory is upset that the jocks get all the attention. He finally gets a break when he's deemed a hero for helping put out a fire in the chemistry lab. His only problem is, he also started it.

    Never been one of my favorites. Basically everyone loves Cory when he saves the chemistry lab from a fire. Little do people know, Cory is the one who started the fire. So now Cory feels guilty lying to the whole town. In the end of the episode he eventually tells the truth and everything is back to normal.

    Not a great one, I don't think, it's like average, a dull episode IMO. It did have some good humor though, scattered around in parts. My overall grade for this episode would be about a C+/B- or so, I think is suitablemoreless

    This episode was really lesson-worthy because it shows you shouldn't take credit for something you didn't do, well in this episode Cory is treated as a hero after he put out a fire that he started in the first place, all he wanted was to be noticed so he just went along with it, while Mr. Feeny knew & stood idly by hoping that Cory would make the right decision & come out to his peers, while Cory is starting to change, Shawn feels left out, his plan starts to unravel when he has to lie to a TV station & finally says the truth. A great episode.moreless

    Shawn and Cory sneak into the school to turn in a paper. Cory accidentally starts a fire in the chemistry room. He pulls the fire alarm and saves Janitor Bud's life. Cory becomes the town hero. He lets everyone think that until it gets out of hand. He confesses to everyone and becomes normal again. Eric wants to be a weather man.

    This was a wonderful episode! I loved that Cory did the right thing. He should've done it sooner, but at least he did it. This was a great episode and it gets a 10 out of 10 from me!moreless

    when cory starts a fire in the school with shawn late at night one day trying to get his chemistry paper in, he is then known as a hero around school, and almost goes on the news and lies. he has rallies at school, and everybody loves him. but he isnt really a hero because he put out the same fire he had started that night. everything works out in the endmoreless

    While breaking into school to turn in late papers, Cory and Shawn cause a fire in the chem lab. Cory pulls the fire alarm, Janitor Bud, having witnessed the later action but not the former, tells everyone Cory is a hero. Cory enjoys cruising on his classmates' admiration until the guilt catches up with him.
    Unfortunately, Cory has to do a TV news spot and lie to the whole city about his adventure. Cory feels too guilty to do this. During a commercial break he tells his family the truth. His parents are angry and Cory must come clean.moreless
