While everyone has big party plans for the weekend, Topanga and Cory are staying at home to watch television like they have grown accustomed to. Topanga tries to convince Cory to tape their TV shows and go out with their friends, but Cory doesn't want to. Shawn tells Topanga she wouldn't have fun anyway, because parties aren't her scene. That remark makes Topanga want to prove that she is not as square as everyone thinks she is. She tells Cory that she wants to go out more because she thinks they are in a rut with their marriage. Cory agrees to go out to a club tomorrow with Topanga, but she has bigger plans. The two agree to throw their own party in their apartment.
The next day Cory passes out flyers to everyone in the student union. When he gives flyers to Shawn, Angela, and Rachel, they tell him that he shouldn't expect a big turnout. Shawn explains that he is having his party on the same night as the biggest and best party of the year. Cory welcomes the competition, but his friends don't think it's a good idea. Cory reminds them that nobody is making them come. Topanga and Cory spend all afternoon baking and setting up for their party but nobody shows up. Shawn, Angela, and Rachel break away from the big party they are attending to go to Cory and Topanga's party for a while. When they open the door to their apartment they find Cory and Topanga in a daze on the couch. They close the door and go back to the other party without Cory and Topanga noticing them.
A little later, Shawn, Angela, and Rachel return with a crowd of people, whom they are paying $20 each to stay at their party for one hour. But what they didn't know is that while Cory and Topanga where alone they got in a small argument, but resolved their problem with a food fight, which quickly turned passionate. Shawn opens the door and this time sees Cory and Topanga lying on the floor wrapped up in a Twister game. Shawn, Angela, and Rachel actually begin to envy them because they realize how much fun they have simply staying at home.
In the meantime, Eric bumps his head in their apartment, but gains a special power from it-Whenever he sneezes he sees a glimpse of the future. While Eric ponders why he was given this gift, Jack plots ways to get Eric to reveal the winning lottery numbers to the $4 million jackpot. Eric discovers that his gift of telepathy was to show Jack how greedy he was being by only thinking about ways he can earn a quick dollar. Jack forces Eric to give him the numbers anyway and he buys a lottery ticket. When Jack listens to the drawing, he is irritated when the numbers were completely wrong. He shoves the ticket in Eric's mouth and makes him eat it, only to realize that he listened to the wrong drawing and really did have the winning numbers.
