While at the mall, Eric and Jason are looking for ways to impress women. Eric is approached by an attractive woman named Alexis (played by Kathy Ireland) and gets suckered into paying $90 for a "modeling portfolio". When Alan finds out his son has been scammed, he tells Eric to go get his money back.
At the mall, Alexis tells Eric that she found a job for him. Eric's parents are sure that this is some short-lived fantasy; but when he quits his job at his father's store, they become worried.
Eric's first modeling job turns out to be dressing up as a lobster and getting dunked in a big pool of butter. Realizing he made a poor decision, he asks Alan for his job back; but the position has already been filled. His father offers Eric his old job working weekends, and he reluctantly accepts.
Meanwhile, while doing a project for Mr. Feeny's class, Cory learns that there is no such thing as a model family; like those portrayed on television. Real families have no scripts and must continually adapt.
