Boy Meets World

Alan needs to address his relationships with his sons, when he realizes that each son wants more of a relationship than the ones they have. Shawn lets Jack sleep in his room with him, but Jack can't handle how messy Shawn is, and the two fight.



Good episode. The only negative thing I have to say is that Shawn's and Jack's plot did not really have an ending, but the rest of the episode was so good I did not care a lot. I like Eric and Cory wanting more from their dad and the execution was good, so overall my final grade is an A+

This episode started out strong, with it's dramatic opening. But by the time the plot itself developed, it seemed overplayed, and it lost it's sense of being emotional, since the same scene happened twice just with 2 different people. Cory & Eric fight over Allen's attention. Allen realizes he's splitting up his attention, he gives his mind to Cory, and his playful side to Eric. Both sons want both sides. When Cory shoves Allen, Allen & Eric take Cory skydiving. While skydiving, Eric realizes he wants Allen's attention as well. So when they're playing basketball, Eric shoves Allen. See how ridiculous that is? The emotional scene in the beginning completely lost it's essence. Meanwhile Jack & Shawn have to share a room, and they realize they both are very different people. Shawn's ways to get to sleep only keep Jack up, it ends in a fight. Then sooner or later, that plot got ridiculous as well, when all they were doing was fighting throughout the episode, and then making a joke out of it. Boy Meets World usually does a good job at drawing a fine line between comedy and drama, but in this episode, it was just all over the place. Unsettling episode.

This is a really good episode because it expresses how Alan treats his boys unfairly and it really highlights some of the problems between Eric and Cory that come out in the last season because of how they are both treated. IT is a semi serious topic that remains funny throughout the whole episode and how each of the sons ends up pushing Alan down is kind of hilarious and Feeny's reaction is classic as always. The last part at the Art Musuem is classic Eric where nobody sees his intelligent side because every one is always so focused on how much fun he is to be around and his interpretation is great. How he ends up being right about the art at the end is very boy meets world as well.

Cory feels that his relationship with Alan is just having talks. Eric feels the same way except reversed. He feels that they never talk, but just play. They both shove Alan down on different occassions. Jack stays with Shawn in his room, but they have different ideas of how to sleep. They have a fight.



This was a great episode! I loved how Shawn sleeps! It's funny! I think what Eric said about the art piece was really deep and great! Alan should give them a little bit of both worlds. This episode gets a 10 out of 10 from me!
