Tired of being picked on, Minkus makes a wager with Shawn and Cory. They bet ten dollars on a stock market game.
They take a risk and have Shawn's uncle place a 10 dollar wager on a horse race. When their horse wins, they win 99 dollars.
At a loss for how to spend their winnings and thrilled from taking a risk, Cory and Shawn decide to "reinvest" on another horse race. The greater the, risk the reward for Cory and Shawn, who win big this time, raking in $680.
While babysitting Morgan one day, Cory gets an urgent call from Shawn. Pro baseball player, Lenny Dykstra is at the local pizza place! Cory urges Morgan to come along, but she refuses. Convinced his sister won't get into trouble, Cory leaves her behind to get some baseball cards signed.
Now home alone, Morgan dances on the couch with her doll. When it slips from her hands, breaking a vase and a glass door, she runs outside hides in the tree house.
When Cory comes home he sees Morgan's doll lying next to the broken glass door. Panicked, Cory runs outside yelling for Morgan. To his relief Mr. Feeny tells Cory where she is.
Realizing his mistake he promises Morgan to take the blame for breaking the door. He'll pay for it with his track winnings.
When Mr. Feeny explains: sometimes people who are focused on the reward sometimes lose site of the risk; Cory realizes he has first hand experience.
