    • Morgan: (singing) He's a loser freak, loser freak! He's a maladjusted loser freak! He's a maladjusted woman-hating loser freak! (to Eric) I can't believe you're my brother. EWWWW!
Eric: It's a very difficult situation here. I mean Corinna is a very sweet girl with a very artistic spirit and it would be wrong to crush that.
Morgan: (singing) And he doesn't like girls cause he's afraid of them, afraid of them. I think he likes boys if you know what I'm saying.
Eric: Ok, this chick is toast!

    • Eric: I'm not the guy for you. You need a guy who's perky and happy all the time, maybe who's had part of his brain removed and thinks he's a bunny. And you guys can go be bunnies together.
Corinna: You don't want to see me anymore, do you?
Eric: Oh, it's just I don't want to see you. I want to stick you on a rocket ship and send you to planet Flaflooga!

    • Topanga: You think this is funny?

Cory: No, I think it's the opposite of funny. I think it's...wood.

    • Eric: Ok, Corinna. Um, I don't know how to say this, so I'm gonna choose my words very carefully. I think you're a psycho. I wanna get as far away from you as I possibly can.

    • Cory: Lock up your daughters, the hormones will be a-flyin' tonight! So, you believe me?
Shawn: No, but you're very sweet.

    • Cory: Morgan! Have we learned nothing from the purple duck?

    • Alan: So, its done?
Eric: Oh, of course its not done. I mean, don't you know me at all? Why would you send me to do something like that?
      Alan: She smiled at you?
Eric (waves hands in starburst motion): Geh-heh!
Alan: Alright, look. Take her to lunch and ask her to take her act further down the road. Can you handle that?
Eric: Can I handle that? Yeah, I can handle that. Or fail to do so. But I'm gonna need some money, so can you give me some 'cause I gave her all of mine.

    • Topanga: You have no idea what this is about, do you?!
Cory: Yes I do, and it happens to be a very important issue; not just to me and you but to all men and women in relationships, both here and abroad.
Topanga: You have no idea what this is about, do you?!
      Cory: Oh, do I ever?!

    • Morgan: You're just making me go to bed because I'm your sister.
Cory: No, no, I'm making you go to bed because I'm your brother; and I love you. So, go to bed.

    • Corinna: I'm surprised you had the guts to show up.
Eric: I'm surprised you're out when the sun is up.

    • Topanga (to class): I think the biggest crisis facing this country, is the breakdown of the American family.
Shawn: Oh, you always gotta go after Shawn.
Topanga: Well, I just think that lots of other issues, like crime, and the decline in education...
Shawn: Hey, hey! Lay off me!

    • (Amy is asking Cory why he's researching parenthood)
Cory: Well, because one day, Topanga's going to be a mother, and I'm going to be the father; or the uncle; or, the way I'm going, the guy down the street with the binoculars; but I just want to be ready for whatever it is I'm going to be.

    • Cory: "Taco!!"

    • Eric: It's a very difficult situation here. I mean, Corinna's a very sweet girl, with a great artistic spirit. It would just be wrong to crush that.
Morgan (singing along with the radio): And he doesn't like girls cause he's afraid of them, afraid of them! I think he likes boys if you know what I'm sayin...
Eric: OK, this chick is toast!

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • Eric: This chick is toast!

This is exactly what Dr. Peter Venkman, played by Bill Murray, says about Gozer in the 1984 movie Ghostbusters.

    • Radio DJ: If you thought Alanis held a grudge...

This line refers to Alanis Morissette's 1995 hit song "You Oughta Know".

    • Song Title: "Eric Matthews, You're So Vain You Probably Didn't Know the Song Before This Was About You"

This is an allusion to the song "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon, in which she sings about an unnamed guy who had scorned her.

    • Billy: They're trying to kill it!

The little kid that wants to stay up late to watch his favorite show is obviously referring to Boy Meets World itself, a show that was moved around on the Friday night lineup several times during its run. He later refers to the "Curly-haired kid," an obviously reference to Cory, to which Cory responds, "I love him. He is such a doof!" The self-reference occurs again when Billy says that the curly haired kid is "digging himself in deeper and deeper," which was what Cory was doing at that exact second.
