Cory is very nervous about his upcoming marriage. He tells Topanga about all the bad dreams he's been having about getting married, thinking that it may be a sign telling them to wait longer. Topanga convinces him that his feelings of anxiety are completely normal. Just then, Mr. Feeny announces that he is marrying Dean Bolander on the weekend. When Mr. Feeny tells Cory that he too is nervous, this helps calm him a bit.
On top of all those emotions, Cory is worried that Topanga's parents, Jedediah and Rhianna, will dislike him because he kept Topanga from attending Yale. When they show up at the Matthew's home, Cory is surprised by their supportiveness. This lightens the mood, but things begin to go downhill when Topanga's parents begin arguing. Topanga has always thought her parents had a perfect, flawless relationship in which she hopes to live up to with Cory. However, the arguments intensify and Jedediah walks out. Jedediah returns soon after and apologizes for leaving abruptly, but things continue to worsen. Topanga's parents tell her that they tried to make things better, but all attempts have failed which has them on the verge of separation. Topanga is distraught over the news, and a stunned Cory is now positive that their wedding should be held off.
In the meantime, Eric goes to Shawn for advice on sorting out his feelings for Rachel and Jack. Eric does some soul searching of his own, per Shawn's suggestion, and visits Jack and Rachel's apartment. He tells them that he realized that as much as he thought he loved Rachel, he didn't even know her. He then tells the couple that he is happy for them and just wanted to wish them the best of luck in their relationship.
The hectic week ends with the wedding of Mr. Feeny and Dean Bolander in the Matthew's living room.
