  • Eric's First Real Serious Episode

Eric wants to be a weatherman, but when he spends all his time there and doesn't go to school, someone needs to step in.

Normally, I do not like serious Eric episodes. Generally I see him as a comic relief character. That whenever there is a serious moment he breaks it by being funny. But this was actually a pretty good break from it. He had some funny parts in the beginning but the most of the episode was him being serious about his future. It was a pretty good episode overall, at least I thought it was. One of season 3's most serious

Another episode that doesn't center around Cory. It centers around his brother, Eric, also his best friend, Shawn! Which is awesome cause they deserve some good plots. Eric deals with the real world when he drops out of school to join the news station, which sucks cause he ends up getting fired & that is what made this episode painful to watch. I guess it is really boy meets world. I love the son/father moments in this episode This is one of my favorite cause it's more serious than others, but finally Eric ends up dedicated to school so he can graduate, a great ending & it didn't feel rushed at all! The subplot was so funny, but Shawn shouldn't of been affected since Mr. Turner isn't related to him. But anyways an awesome plot, I love how Dana continues to date Shawn in this episode, also how they freaked out. This episode really owns up to it's title. A great episode.

Eric is a devoted intern for the news. When the weatherman can’t do the job, Eric substitutes as the weatherman in his place. He loves it so much that he is missing a lot of classes. Mr. Feeny gives Eric the choice to come to class so he can graduate or to stay with the news. He chooses to stay the weatherman because it has been his dream to. The manager has bad news for Eric though. He found a replacement for the weather. Once Eric tells him that he dropped out of school, the manager has to fire him because the job is only open to students. His parents are mad at him for picking his job over school. Eric turns 18. Mr. Turner takes a liking to Dana’s mom, which is awkward for Shawn and Dana.

I liked this episode! I’m glad that Eric’s dream came true, but he shouldn’t have dropped out. I felt sorry for him when he had to get laid off from the internship. He did have to go back to school though. I really like Dana! She and Shawn make a cute couple. I give this episode a 9.5!

I enjoyed this episode as I have with all Boy Meets World episodes. I found this episode to be more on the serious side as they focused on Eric's problem of not taking his education very seriously. I think they portrayed a good message that education is very important and that in the real life you won't get anywhere without an educational background. Morgan was funny teasing Eric in this episode as was Cory acting tough about facing the cold stormy weather. I thought it was disgusting that weather man took of his pants when he asked Eric to hem them for him. Talk about gross! Overall another enjoyable episode.
