Episode Recap

Cory finds that every time he falls asleep, he has a recurring dream in which he kills Shawn for no apparent reason. Cory feels bad about dreaming such a horrible thing, so his solution is to not sleep. Although he tries to keep himself awake, he accidentally dozes off and has the dream of killing Shawn in several creative ways. In one dream, Mr. Feeny gives him the advice to forgive Shawn for everything he has done. Cory tries this, but the dream continues to occur. When Cory has the same dream in front of everyone in class, this prompts him to go to Mr. Feeny for help. Mr. Feeny tells Cory that he can't take his dreams literally, but there is often a reason behind them. Cory says that he always wakes up screaming before Shawn actually dies so Mr. Feeny suggests that Cory finish the dream, and the message may be a little clearer.

Cory takes Mr. Feeny's advice and returns to his dorm to go to bed. Sure enough, the dream starts off with Cory pushing Shawn down an elevator shaft. Next Rachel and Jack are tossed in, and then Angela and Eric. Cory looks up and Topanga is present in a wedding dress. Cory tells her that he killed them all for her, so they wouldn't be in their way of staying together. Cory wakes up and realizes that he may be rushing in to marriage too quickly. He doesn't want things to change once they get married, but he knows that change is inevitable.

Meanwhile, after Eric's parents tell him that sleeping on the couch every night isn't working out, he searches for a new place to live. Jack and Rachel offer him his old room back, but Eric declines the offer. Soon after, he meets a fellow Pennbrook student named Adam, who has an apartment and is looking for a roommate as well. Adam mentions to Eric that he can't seem to keep a roommate for very long, which leaves Eric puzzled because the apartment is very nice and his neighbor his a beautiful young woman. It's not long before Eric discovers why it is that everyone leaves, for Adam is oddly infatuated with his dead parrot Nelly and dead mother whom he pretends are still alive.
