It's yearbook time and Topanga is making rounds collecting profiles to put next to the student's pictures. Cory is upset because he hasn't done anything worthwhile and blames the jocks for stealing the limelight (and girls).
When the wrestling captain offers him a spot on the team, Cory readily accepts. He's the only one in the lowest weight His mom is worried but Cory's not in it for the competition. He's only in it for the perks; a letterman jacket, a groupie named Candy, and something for the yearbook.
Topanga doesn't like the new Cory. Shawn accuses her of liking Cory but she denies it. This only convinces him more.
Everything is going great for Cory until Joey decides to try and make a name for himself as well. Since the two are in the same weight there is a match to determine who gets the spot on the team. Cory thinks that he doesn't have a chance but when fight time comes, he quickly dodges Joey's over-eager attack, pulls him down and pins him; winning a spot on the team.
An embarrassed Joey wants a rematch and won't stop hassling Cory until he agrees. New lackey-leader Griff arranges a fancy fight at the school gymnasium. In attendance are special guests Yasmine Bleeth and Robert Goulet.
It's fight time and it looks like Cory's going to win until Joey tags in Frankie. Panicked, Cory tags in an unsuspecting Eric. Eric is scared at first but he pokes Frankie in the eye which seems to work. Frankie tags in his father, pro-wrestler Vader. It looks like doomsday for Eric until Mr. Feeny and Mr. Turner show up.
There's no winner in the fight but Cory gives up his spot on the team, realizing he doesn't want to try to be someone he's not.
