This episode is one of the few episodes in which we see Cory's treehouse. The treehouse is eliminated by the second season.
Goof: At the beginning of the episode, as Mr. Feeny tells Cory that there is no gravity in space, you can see Cory glance at the camera.
This episode uses a completely different classroom set from the rest of the season.
When Mr. Feeny takes away Cory's Walkman/Radio, he hits one of the top buttons. The top buttons operate the tape, not the radio.
Mr. Feeny tells Nick, who's playing Romeo, to stab himself. In the play, Romeo dies by drinking poison, and Juliet stabs herself.

Edgar Allan Poe was famous for writing dark poems and short stories. He married his 13 year old cousin, and was said to have had multiple diseases and personality disorders.

The Franklin Space Museum that Alan mentions, is called "The Franklin Institute" in real life.
When Eric throws the bag of mulch, you can see the fake grass move, and the fake background swing slightly.

When Cory does roll call, Topanga Lawrence is called first. Class attendance sheets are normally in alphabetical order, and Shawn Hunter would at least be before her.
The first day Cory teaches, he writes his name on the chalk board and underlines it. A couple seconds later it disappears.
The sign at the class reunion says "Welcome Back, Class of 2000" but the characters actually graduated from high school in 1998.
At the beginning of the episode, Mr. Feeny is reading the end of A Christmas Carol. However, the book is clearly open to the beginning.
