When Cory and Eric are in the car, Eric comments that they are 3 hours away from home. Pottstown is only about an hour away from Philadelphia.
Eric: Cory, I have come to my senses. This place is great. I mean it's got Irene, it's got soup, it's got pie. Why would I ever leave?
Cory: We have to go home and here's why: I'm completely out of clean underwear. Eric: Big deal. I ran out a week ago, I'm sittin' pretty. Cory: Yes; but you see, I don't know if you've noticed but I've also run out of pants. Eric: Ahh! Cory: I wanna go home. Eric: I want you in pants!
Cory: I'm the prince of Sprinkle Land.
Amish man: Young friend, how far art thou travelling? Cory: Me? Amish man: Yes, thee. Cory: Well, I'm going to Philadelphia. Amish man: Well, I'm going as far as that farmhouse, there. Cory: That farmhouse, there? Amish man: Yes. That farmhouse, there. Cory: I see. Well, I'm going to Philadelphia. Amish man: Well, I could take you as far as that farmhouse, there. Cory: And that's very nice of you; but maybe I'll just wait for some form of transportation that involves combustion. Amish man: I understand. But if you change your mind; I'll be at that farmhouse, there. Cory: Yes, but you see if that's as far as you're going, then it does me no good. Amish man: That is true; but my intent was just and my heart is pure. Cory: Also does me no good.
Cory (to Alan): Don't eat the pie. You'll never leave.
Another opening theme & credits change. This time, Cory runs out of the house to join Eric, Shawn & Topanga in a Mustang, and as they drive along, footage of the other characters (Feeny, and the rest of the Matthews family) appear in the car mirrors & reflected in the car windows and sky.
Cory: You can take the keys, but you can't take my freedom.
An allusion to Braveheart.
Episode Title: You Can Go Home Again This is an allusion to the Thomas Wolfe novel You Can't Go Home Again.
