  • Quotes

    • "My father? Interested in motherless babes? According to him, they're nothing but trouble--for years and years," says Eleanor to Lady Cora, with a mischievous glance at her father. After a pause, Robert replies, deadpan: "Decades."

    • Robert: Playing with lives, Eleanor? It's never an easy game. It's never a game.

    • (upon arriving at the Thrift to assist Eleanor.)
Robert: Please, just tell me this is some jolly jape. I presume within a minute you will wheel out the proper instruments, and you will be shouting 'April Fool'!
