  • Trivia

    • When Walter is outside Jesse's house and calls him, leaving his fourth message, Jesse's phone goes straight to voice mail. However when Walter breaks into the house and calls Jesse from in his room the phone rings before going to voice mail. There is no one in the house to have turned on the phone between the calls.

    • There really is a poet named Walter "Walt" Whitman (1819-1892). He was a humanist and worked in free verse. He was controversial because his work often focused on overt sexuality.

  • Quotes

    • Sketchy: (Talking in Jesse's house) I'm not even kidding, because if you really think about it, you can't even see it so how can you know just how bad radio frequencies and microwaves and cell phones and stuff are getting you. I mean, you can be strolling through security at the airport on your way to see your grandma and then you get waved through a full body x-ray scanner and the next day you can be dead or dying or at least dying from all the radiation that they say is safe which there's no way it could because they have to deliver a concentrated dose, OK? Enough to penetrate your clothes and so the accumulated amount can definitely be dangerous to susceptible individuals, especially if you're from a rural area. I mean, the ozone layer is already through because of the cow farts.

    • Walt: (Reading a script of the gambling story Skyler has prepared) "I'm terribly, terribly ashamed of my actions."
      Skyler: Yeah
      Walt: Two terribly's?
Skyler: It's supposed to show contrition.
Walt: ... Okay, I would just never use that word. I would never say the word "terribly".
Skyler: Phrase it however you want. You're jumping ahead. Now...
Walt: And why am I so ashamed.
Skyler: Do I really need to answer that?
Walt: I was, and am, providing for our family.
Skyler: Let's just pick up where we left off.
Walt: I'm "weak", I'm "out of control", the whole thing makes me look like crap.

    • Walt: (to Skyler) Where is the 'I slept with my boss' bullet point? I don't see that anywhere.
