OH yes, I agree with the poster who mentioned "Misfits"....it's one of my favorite shows...absolutely hysterical and has me hooked!

Love "Being Human" too...wonder when that one is back on again?

Of course, I can't imagine any show being of higher quality than "Breaking Bad"......I can't believe it won't be back till July - it's worth the wait, but I worry that it'll be canceled if people aren't willing to wait.

Remember a show called "The Riches"? Phenomenal cast and story-lines....yet, it got canceled - I was really disappointed.

    The Wire

    Boardwalk Empire

    Mad Men

    Dexter

    Check them out!

I see a lot of people here recommending LOST. Yuck. that show will leave you exactly that.... lost.

    Hi there...

My top shows so far are:

    1. The Wire

    2. Breaking Bad

    3. Mad Men

    4. The Sopranos

    5. Deadwood.

Of course there are many other good shows, but if i had to choose these would be them (in that order).

About shows that are similar to Breaking Bad i would say Weeds (which someone's already mentioned)... Middle-class family mom who begins to deal with marihuana in order to get some money for her children when her husband dies and gets more and more involved as she climbs up to the highest levels of drug-dealing... Although it's more a comedy than a drama, the characters are quite unique and interesting, and a very funny show in my opinion.

    Ciao.

If you enjoyed BREAKING BAD you will very likely like:

    WEEDS

    DEXTER

    NURSE JACKIE

BB is darker than these three.

THE WIRE is indeed one of the best TV shows evermade, but is in a different category all together. Might wantto check out THE SOPRAONS if you haven't yet.

Not sure why LOST is beeingmentioned here.Storyline was very promising from Season 1 on, but lost me veryquickly thereafter.

Can't think of many shows similar to 'Breaking Bad' but have to agree with those saying 'The Wire' is the only other dramathat can be compared to it in terms of quality. Would also say that 'Dexter' and 'The Sopranos' come pretty close though.

    Gotta tell you,

Prison Break and Dexter, these two are the only ones that match Breaking Bad.

LOST? Don't bother watching that one, i loved the show it got me hocked for years, but if i knew that the ending would be like it was, i would never had lost the time watching it, complete disappointing!

Right now I'm watching the shows "V" and "Walking Dead" but i haven't yet formed a strong opinion on those two, have to see more than one season to have one, for now i consider them good.

Dexter is a MUST! BB and Dexter are the two top shows of all time on my list. Lost follows in 3rd.

Dexter is well made in every way just like BB is. Acting could be better but the story is really good. You have to stick to it, The first few episodes of Season 1 was hard to sit through because it looked like just another police drama.

The Wire and the first two seasons of Six Feet Under are by far the best television I've seen. Breaking Bad, the first two seasons of Dexter and the first season of Deadwood come very close, however.

I also really like The Sopranos and Weeds. Ones I've been wanting to check out are Oz, Boardwalk Empire, Carnivale, and Rome.

Breaking Bad is also the only network TV show that gives HBO and Showtime a run for their money.

    Mad Men sucks.

The Wire is great...raw, dark reality.

I'd like to recommend BBC's Spooks. I'ts about MI5 agents. It's the best CIA/FBI/Cops show I've ever seen.

As others have said Sons of Anarchy, I just finished the first 3 seasons of Breaking Bad and it was amazing but I would still rank Sons of Anarchy slightly above it. You'll need to get past the first couple episodes to really understand the characters, but they're played so well, you'll be very glad you did.

Also again as others have mentioned, Dexter and Boardwalk Empire. Based on personal experience, if you buy the seasons of Dexter, you'll not put it down. I know with me, I'd watch an episode and despite the fact that it's now midnight and you have to go to work the next morning, you'll be thinking to yourself that you have to see the next episode.

My personal favorites besides Breaking Bad are:

    Six Feet Under

Battlestar Galactica (the first 3 seasons are amazing)

    Sons of Anarchy

    Southland

Saving Grace (takes some time getting into)

The Good Wife (the first season is a bit slow, but this last season has been excellent!)

    Fringe

I highly recommend all of them! Enjoy!Smile

    Other shows I've also like:

Dexter - I love this show just as much as Breaking Bad. I think most people that enjoy Breaking Bad will probably also like Dexter.

Prison Break - Very good series. When you finish the series make sure to watch "The Final Break". It helps wrap up the series.

Oz - similar to Prison Break, but since it is an HBO show they can get away with more.

Six Feet Under - I loved this show.

Day Break - Only 1 season, but by the end of the series you will fill satisfied. Get the DVD or watch it on Netflix streaming.

LOST - very good series, but hated the ending

Kyle X.Y. - Pretty good show.

The Killing - So far the show is pretty good

The Walking Dead - Pretty good zombie tv show.

They might not be similar shows, but they are all very good serials.
