On the preview for the next episode, they were calling it the season finale. And it looks like they were right.

    So... seven episodes? What gives?

probably the writers strike, or it could just be AMC made a short run of episodes as a test in case the ratings were bad

I thought this was going to be a comedy and find out the dr. made a mistake after all, there are a lot of funny scenes with his partner in crime.

However, this is making me sick; it is too graphic now, throwing up blood in the sink, passing out, blood, blood, blood. This is depressing, I am not going to hang around for a few more episodes to see him die. Maybe I will be tempted but I hope he does succeed in getting his family money. This guy is a great actor.

Remember him on The King of Queens, he was hilarious.

I think the kid playing his son is disabled. He is a great actor and very good looking. More people who are disabled should be on TV.

The season was meant to be 9 episodes but the writers strike made it 7.

annabelle44, I don't know how you got the impression that this was a comedy. Perhaps you were expecting it to be because Bryan Cranston is better known for comedies. It's unfortuante if this show is not for you because it is a really good show. I agree that it is quite intense, but they handle it really well rather than gratuitously.

I do remember Bryan from King of Queens, as well as Malcolm in the Middle. He is a terriffic actor and can be hillarious but also play darmatic roles really well.

Boo, hiss! This is the first time that I was upset about the strike. I was always for the writers despite the hit to the many other shows I watch (in many case, because of the hits), but this one actually stings.

Where did you get this information?

It really sucks that we didn't get a full season, like 13 episodes. The overhyped (and overrated) Mad Men got it. Breaking Bad deserved it.

i did notice some parts being slightly comedic... not like explicitly hiliarious or anything, just subtle bouts of humor.

i'm disappointed to hear that episode 7 will be the last for a while. or are there more coming soon?

Definitely a great show. Wasn't sure if I would like it at first. The episodes get much better as they go. The last two episodes are my favorite. I would love another season of this show, but if doesn't get one it at least the season ended without a major cliffhanger.

They were calling it a 'dark comedy' right when it came out, right? - at least that's what I remember. - and that's exactly what other shows were like that got labeled 'dark comedy.'

'Fargo' was a dark comedy and that was depressing - had funny moments though.

I guess you could pretty much call it a sit-com with all the punch lines taken out. They get put into funny situations but then - oh yeah dying of cancer - sad again.

Its too bad the season was so short - I'm pretty bummed about that - I kept checking back to see if there was a new episode - just occured to me that was it today - sad again.

I suppose that they had to call it a comedy because Bryan Cranston stars in it. Of course now we see that he is not only amazing in comedies, but he can tear it up in a drama as well.

The show has a sort of latent humor. I've found myself laughing at some of the situations that present themselves. I think that's the idea.
