  • Wow, Skyler!!!

This episode was something. I officially can't stand skyler right now. Call me crazy but I don't get why she's so mad at walt, I mean they are basically set for life and he hasn't got caught, it's driving me crazy!!! lol. I wonder what her deal is, I think she's got a screw loose up there or something.
But I can't wait to see how this is gonna play out.
Might I add I am a HUGE fan of Gus, that is one badass guy, I wish I knew someone like him hehe :).

... and an impact, neither a smoke monster nor a nuclear bomb can ever leave.

Breaking Bad proves once again, why it is the best thing currently happening on TV and gives some other shows writers a lesson in "How to build up tension in a tv series, without making a fool out of yourself".

Skyler calling the cops to throw Walter out of his own house: Desperate.

Jesse calling his dead girlfriends phone: Goosebumbs.

Walter getting a (temporary) reprieve by the druglord: Nerve-wracking.

Hank doing everything he can to avoid his new(old) position: Crazy.

And finally Skylar saying those three little words: Priceless.

By far the strongest episode this season.

Amazing stuff, thank you Vince for another great episode.

See Lost, that is how you answer questions. Don't wait five years before telling us something, instead build suspense for a couple of weeks and then tell us what is going on like Breaking Bad did tonight. Now I can both understand things and enjoy what should be a pretty good season, having seen this episode.

I do want things to go back to "normal" though, if that makes sense. Walter and Jesse should be cooking meth not moping about their personal problems. This is a show about drugs, not All My Children after all.

But this was definitely an improvement over last week's episode. Not a home run, but a triple for Breaking Bad.

An eventful episode of Breaking Bad tonight, loads better than the last episode, and it's the best episode yet this season. We find out who the heck those two henchman are and what their relation is with Walt, or why they want to kill Walt, as what we saw int the last episode.

Terrific acting from Anna Gunn this week, there is just some episodes where she is right on it, her acting was flawless. To having to call the police to get Walt out of her home only to realize she can't to Skye telling Walt that she had sex with Ted, it was just great acting here. Has Anna Gunn won an Emmy yet? If she hasn't, she deserves one for at least best supporting actress.

The henchmen are Tuco's cousins, I'm surprised to see that the arc played out since the beginning of season 2, but Tuco's got to have had some angry family members somewhere right? Jesse's plot was a bit lackluster for me tonight.

He sits around and gets depressed about Jane, still thinking it's his fault, I wonder if he'll ever find out it was Walt's fault. The episode ends with Jesse starting to cook meth alone, and Skye's confession. Great super eventful episode, don't miss this installment.

One of the things I love about "Breaking Bad" is the interplay between Walt and Jesse. So far this season, the storylines aren't really paring these two up much for the back and forth. The story with the cousins is interesting but is slow to progress. I think I would almost prefer less of the story involving Gus, the cousins and the creepy old man and more Heisenberg and Jesse Pinkman.

The Reader's Digest version of this episode. Jesse is still torn up about Jane. Skyler is still unwilling to reconcile with Walt but he put his foot down and moved back home. Hank's psycho/emotional issues return. The creepy old man in the wheel chair rang that stupid bell over and over again.

Let's get back to the super interesting "Breaking Bad" of Seasons 1 & 2!
  • Walt returns home and forces Skylar's hands, while Hank deals with problems at work

Barely having escaped getting killed, Skylar returns home to find Walt back in their house. She calls the police but they tell her they have no legal right to kick him out so she must let him stay. Meanwhile, Hank learns that El Paso wants him back and begins to suffer more panic attacks after the events of last season as a result. The episode focuses greatly on the Skylar/Walt aspect greatly, but there's also a heartfelt part of the episode in which Jesse continues to call Jane's voicemail. Saul encourages Jesse to convince Walt to return to the biz, and he says he'll handle it. Gus meets with the Cousins and explains that he won't clear them to kill Walt on his turf until his business with him is concluded. Good episode, especially since we get a lot of satisfaction out of getting to know the smaller faces of Breaking Bad like Hank, and hopefully we will get to see more on his story after this week.
  • One of my all-time favorite BB eps - reminded me of The Sopranos.

When I say it reminded me of The Sopranos I mostly mean in story structure. Neither Walt nor Sky backed down at all this ep - which is how Tony and Carmela used to be on The Sopranos - as well as illegal activity coming between them (Walt yells less though). I like how they took long periods of time to develop a shot like the final shot of Sky in the car after she arrives home just sitting there, the arrival of the cartel at the trailer - it was all perfect - and at a pace which only a show with superior writing could pull off - like The Sopranos or Carnivale (was that uncle junior in the wheelchair.. heh). Ok, you get by now I liked this ep. It wasn't a big action ep, it wasn't anything huge - but the writing and EXCELLENT acting particularly by Anna Gunn as Sky and Arron Paul as Jesse even though his part was small this week (you KNOW he deserves an emmy) was spot on perfect. I don't really want to spoil it so just go watch it - great ep, great series, and I'm not even gonna mention the end of this ep! :x
