Wow, now this is what Breaking Bad is all about! Unbelievably, intense showdown between Walter and Jesse and Hank. Everytime you think that Walter has run out of breaks, he gets another, but how much longer will that last? Things are really starting to heat up on this AMC series and the fans are being treated to high-quality TV. Plus, there was very little Skylar tonight, and that is never a bad thing.

Although it is sad to see the RV destroyed and an era truly end on this show, Breaking Bad is entering a new chapter and I have a feeling this season will close with a bang.
  • It has been a while since I reviewed an episode, but since the direction and writing of this episode was of such a high caliber I decided to indulge myself.

Exquisite composure. If this website allowed me to review an episode with two words I would have left it at that. Yet it does deserve a little more than two words. Honestly the beauty of this episode was that it just had the perfect level of inclination in terms of its storyline. A wonderful picture was painted for us in terms of how the rest of the season will pan out, but then again with this show you don't know when a twist will emerge. This episode had a heavy dose of solid production, all the way from its deft script to the wonderful aesthetics we got from a number of shots. Its quite easy to get lost in this episode with all the things that are going on at once, and it was about time. Not to be a cynic but I wasn't too pleased with the season up to this point, the pace of the show was somewhat offbeat, but with the previous episode and this one, the show went from the first gear to the last. This one had the power of a finale yet the show is just halfway through the season, can't wait to finish the rest.

Breaking Bad is finally back on track after we get our first actually perfect episode of the season. All of the past episodes have had their flaws, but this episode was what it was: perfect. I was beginning to think that this show was in a rut, as if the writers didn't know what to do next.

With Walt not having a reason to cook meth, episodes solely focused on Walt & Skylar's relationship, and Jesse becoming a side character with hardly any interactions between the two main characters, Walt & Jesse. This episode completely proved me wrong. The past five episodes of the season were just amazing buildup to this amazing payoff.

As this episode finished, I was thinking how amazing it was that I was introduced in to this show, we got some of the best scenes on TV here, just history in the making, and it shows. This episode kept me at the edge of my seat just about the whole time, closes some chapters and brings us new beginnings.

I've been waiting for Hank to fly off the handle, and I got to say, all this waiting has been worth it. When Walt & Jesse were in the RV, that has to be one of the best scenes in this entire series. The editing and direction when Hank frantically ran in to the hospital, amazing.

Just don't miss out on this amazing show, give it a second chance, if you've given up on it. Watch this episode, watch Breaking Bad!
  • That was certainly the best episode so far...

I can only agree with what's been written below.

It's a shame how that poor RV was sent on to the great beyond :)

The last scene with the death sentence and the three men in front of that impressively atmospheric sunset added a little extra Western movie feeling to the show and the hints about Hank's probable fate that we were given throughout the last episodes finally culminated in a real and metaphorical nightfall for him. But still, I really hope he'll survive it.

But I especially liked that little "love scene" between Walt and Gail, which I found completely hilarious. It looks like they're baking some kind of cake together…

All in all, amazing writing and directing!

Walt settles into his new lab with his new assistant, Jesse and old faces make amends and go back into the business together again all while Hank is hot on their trail. After a suspenseful opening involving an axeident if you'll pardon the pun this episode hit the ground running, no more melancholy Mr. White, when the Sunshine song played I knew I was in for a different kind of episode. This is a terrific adjustment to the slower, high angst episode that has been the beginning of this season and we even got to see a threatened Gus this week, which is way awesome and different from what we normally see of calm collected side as the Cousins grow impatient of waiting for their chance to strike. Makes me happy that we're not even half way through the season till next week and the shape of things to come look if anything just as or even more promising, then this sure to be classic episode of Breaking Bad.
  • Best episode of the season

It's been awhile since I've written a review, as I've been doing other things, but what a great episode to review coming back to this website. It was easily the best episode of Breaking Bad this season and brought some of the intensity that had been missing from the earlier half. There's no denying Season 3 has been great, but this episode brought it to a whole new level.

The episode reminded me a bit of the "4 Days Out" show from Season 2. Both episodes involved an RV and being in a sticky situation and in both episodes, Walt's cleverness saved the day. It's a shame to see the RV gone, as it's been a symbol of their early crime days, but I guess that's the way the show is going now. The tension was almost unbearable near the end as Hank finally trailed Jesse to the RV and nearly caught Walt and Jesse attempting to get rid of it. It all came down to same clever legal manuevering by Walt and Saul: faking a phone call to Hank that Marie was in a car accident. The look of pure pain and distress on Hank's face was enough to make me feel, for the first time, that Walt may have gone too far.

Overall, this episode was a much needed addition to this season. As I mentioned before, this season has been great, but it's been moving along at a tepid pace. This episode changed that all. We got an incredible opening sequence, some great plot development and some moments as tense as any other television show. I feel compelled to say this was one of the better Breaking Bad episodes of all time, but time will tell how it stands. So far, I feel good saying it was the best of Season 3.
