Cluny seises the family of a dormouse and threatens to kill them unless their father, Plumpen, betrays Redwall and opens the gate to the now huge army of rats. The plan works and Redwall is finally captured. But Matthias challenges Cluny and in a final confrontation, he kills him. Cornflower and Matthias are at last married and Redwall returns to its idyllic lifestyle. Matthias has become like a hero he admired in his childhood.moreless

    "Great"
In a way the battle between Cluny and Matthias wasn't what I expected; he really exposed himself as the coward he is and it was mostly a hostage chase and run situation. I also thought the final blow would have had Matthias stabbing Cluny into his body; in a way the build up of finding Martin's sword is a bit ruined because it almost feels as if any sword could have done what it has done. Nonetheless a great way to end this Redwall series; the aftermath scene of the battle where both good guys and bad guys alike lay in death was pretty effective, and the final final scene showing Cornflower and Matthias' child really added good closure.moreless
  • Great episode and great ending for season number 1

    "Perfect"
I think this episode was really awsome.
Matthias returns to Redwall and finds that there is a shrew army out in Mossflower from somewhere waiting to help out.
However while Matthias is gone Cluny strikes a victory in capturing Redwall abbey.

This episode had some really good plot twists, and if your like me you would really like the battle scenes depicted in this episode especially the very end with Matthias vs Cluny. That\\\\\\\'s right the long awaited battle happens now!

Although some of this episode didn't really comply with all the others (like Cheesethief's and Fangburn's death) since they are all seen in the battle getting killed for a second time.

Overall quality is the best of season 1, and I would gladly love to watch this episode over and over again. If you can ever find a tape of this episode you should buy it. You won't be disappointed.moreless
