It's not the easiest thing to pull off, but it's better when an episode doesn't totally concentrate on just a SINGLE theme and then build around that. Here in this episode of Redwall, it does a pretty good job of exemplifying this. There's the theme of Matthias not listening to Cornflower and trying to ignore chores, and although there would be potential for it, the episode doesn't turn into a giant sob story revolving around that. There are other themes that were included, like betraying those that trust you in order to save the one you care for, and then of course foiling Cluny's plans as always. Good episode.moreless
  • A great chapter in the redwall saga

This episode has been out for quite a long time and when I asked people about it they did not know anything about this episode. Well it is about a doormouse named Farlo. Who has the charicteristics of a real warrior and he carries around a fancy scimitar to protect himself and his spices. When his wife Glendal is captured he must develope more courage and bravery to kidnap his new friend Cornflower. It is sad to see Cluny playing on the feelings of another creature and it is made ok when Matthias and Cornflower become a couple for the first time in the season. (We all knew it would come sooner or later) Matthias tells Cornflower his true feelings and that is what saved the episode in my opinion. Because unlike many episodes this one suffered the loss of a battle which made me pretty boared. All in All it was a great episode and it had to do with Romance which plays a role to the fans of most shows.moreless
