Cluny uses two treacherous foxes, Sela the vixen and her son Chickenhound, to plant a false attack plan in Redwall, while Matthias and his mousemaid friend Cornflower unravel the mysterious motto "I am that is". It is an anagram of "I Matthias" written years before he was born; another clue for the quest for Martin's sword. Cluny's real underground attack is inventively repulsed by hot porridge and Matthias sees the fearful snake Asmodeus for the first time and realises that somehow their fates are horribly intertwined.moreless

We are only on the third episode and the story is already quickly progressing. Yet along the way there has been some really solid story and character development. For one the inevitable parallels between the hero Martin and Matthias, and although they were dispensable after just one episode, the foxes Sela and Foxhound served a great purpose and their deaths at the end of the episode really made their impacts felt. It's pretty cool how that despite already finding the long undiscovered tomb of Martin, Matthias hasn't yet completed his complete warrior collection. Though like the first two episodes, the third one suffers from some obvious pacing issues. Not enough time for us to absorb everything that is going on.moreless
