Being British, I'm glad that a British film won so much, but it would've been nice for a bit of variety, rather than The King's Speech taking away Best Film, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Actress and various others.

Does it really matter? The fact The Kings Speech won so many won't make me watch it, I watch the films that I think will interest me not those that are critically acclaimed and given little statues. If you ever want a good example of how wrong awards shows can be just look at how many awards Avatar won with a terrible script and unoriginal plotting, just because it looked pretty....

I wish Noomi Repace had won Best Actress. She is utterly sensation in Girl with a Dragon Tattoo. Apologies to Natalie but she leaves Black Swan for dead. If GWADT was in English, Noomi would be the one cleaning up.
