Britney: I think I've learned my lesson now and enough is enough.
Britney: I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I have been through and where I'm headed.
Britney: Everyone has a world they create around themselves. If I have a lot of nervous energy, when I just start dancing it all goes away.
Britney: I used to be a cool chick but I feel like the paparazzi has taken that away from me, like, the way I used to live my life. I used to be a cool chick but I'm not anymore.
Britney: (about the end of her relationship with Justin Timberlake) When it ended I felt so alone. I didn't really want to think about the reality of it. I never faced it... I just ran.
Britney: (about her relationship with Justin Timberlake) With Justin, he was part of the magnitude of what I had become. So when he was gone I was like, What am I supposed to do with myself?
Britney: (about her breakdown) I look back, and do not see how I got through that.
Britney: (about her 2007 VMA performance) You have good performances, you have bad performances. Not every performance can be a good performance you know. You're going to have some amazing performances, and you're going to have some ok performances.
Larry Rudolph: (about Britney) She's got a unique set of talents. She's got a blend of certain talents. She's a great singer. She's a great dancer. She's got an amazing image. She's incredibly likable. She's got this intangible thing that makes her a star.
Britney: Do I know my life is weird? (pause) It's all I've ever known. I don't see it as being weird.
Britney: I don't really like it when they say "the comeback"...I've been here the whole time you know. I've taken some time off for myself and you know I've been recording for a while, haven't been completely in the spotlight, but I'm doing what I've always done.
Britney: (about her dad) I don't understand how he can be such an asshole, and then be so nice.
Britney: (about her breakdown) I'm a smart person, like what the hell was I thinking?
Britney: I lost focus, I lost myself. I had that nature within me that wanted to rebel. I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free.
Britney: There's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know.
Britney: I think I married for the wrong reasons. Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy. I just did it because...for just the idea of everything.
Jamie Spears: Damn, nice hooker shoes baby. Can you even dance in those things?
Jamie Spears: Everybody else have Wheaties, but southern girls....breakfast of champions is cheese grits.
Britney: For the record became MTV's second most watched show of the year. The MTV Video Music Awards took the first place.

This documentary was released on DVD on April 7, 2009, and includes bonus footage and MP3 downloads, featuring remixes of her hit singles "Womanizer" and "Circus".

Spears teamed up with the American cable television network MTV and award winning filmmakers Radical Media for the documentary. The documentary was shot for around three months in 2008, beginning on September 5, two days before Spears' appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, to mid-November.
