EDIT
As Kitty begins chemotherapy, Sarah tells her about the summer romance she had with a man in France (Luc) in order to take Kitty's mind off of the treatment. • Ah la Belle France ... quite funny sometime!

    1.0
This time I couldnt help writing a few words here ... since I am from "la Belle France" ... :-)

This season of B&S is indeed on the right track, a good balance between emotions, feelings and drama. Everyone has something to bring to the show - for a good reason and in the drama section, I thought Calista Flockhart made it quite real during the episode, cancer is not an easy subject so well done ... now with the French ... geeeeeeee do you believe this French guy, who looks more like a latino or italian of some sorts? (no disrespect here guys, Italy is amazing), falling from the sky, looking like he will save Sarah's day and in the end he even shows up in her front porch ... not very credible but at least I laughed quite hard ... his car, an authentic 2 CV (we say "deux chevaux" for 2 horses (power)) and lives in some kind of a barn ... too much fun ... and .. he is going to be a regular for some episodes ... and he has an almost fluent english ... "well done"

Any way, I will of course keep watching ...moreless
  • Kitty starts treatment....

    9.5
In this episode of Brothers & Sisters, the following happens. As Kitty begins her chemotherapy treatment, she takes Sarah with her. During which Sarah tells her about a man she met whilst she was in France. Although as she goes on with the story, Kitty realises that it is a story from a film their mother used to watch. But as the episode ends we learn that he was in fact real, and that Sarah left him, as she returned home that day when her mother phoned her to say that Kitty had cancer. As the episode ends, Sarah opens the front door, and the French man is standing there. Nora tries to help Holly and Rebecca pick a venue for the wedding, only Holly has other things on her mind. Unable to decide where to get married, soon Rebecca comes up with an idea, to get married in Hawaii. And when she tells Justin he is very happy with the location.moreless
  • Just great writing! Kitty's first chemo. Rebecca and Justin's wedding plans.. Sarah's fling in France??

    10
From beginning to end, i just loved this episode.. Kitty chooses Sarah over her mom for chemo buddy of the day.. this bothers Nora but she gets over it like always.. Nora joins Holly and Rebecca for choosing a wedding venue for Rebecca/Justin wedding. haha. i laughed so much when they found out the first place was used to shoot porn movies! classic! Sarah tells Kitty her story about the guy she met in France.. I liked how Sarah changed the story and said the guy cheated on her and had to leave instead of telling her that Kitty having cancer was really the reason she left her boy toy behind.. Nora and Kitty crying in the room was just ahhh.. such great acting! (why is this show ignored so much at the Emmy's??) and at the end Sarah's fling comes looking for her! How great is that? can't wait for next episode!moreless
  • Kitty is stating her chemotherapy. Sarah becomes her Chemo-buddy. Robert's campaign takes a hit because of the news of Kitty's cancer. Rebecca tries to plan her wedding, with the help from Nora and Holly. All the while Justin seeks and internship.moreless

    I love this episode. Spoilers.

It is so sweet, and in some parts funny, like the story Sarah tells Kitty, but also the opening scene Between Robert and Kitty. I laughed so much during the Rebecca wedding planning scenes. Mostly I love how it finally seems like the McKitty marriage is finally starting to heal, and they are starting to find their way back to each other. I am really looking forward to the next episode, to learn more about the real story of Sarah's French romance; it was really cute how the episode ended with him showing up at her doorstep.

I really truly loved this episode.moreless

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • The show's titlecard was displayed in French (Freres & Soeurs) in honor of new cast member Gilles Mirini. A whole French arc was involved.

    • Based on Sarah's rented car license plate, she's spending time in Gironde (the last number being 33), in the Southwest of France. This area is well known for its winery, the Bordeaux wine being the highlight of it. And Luc's very lovely Citroen 2CV was 69, which is Rhone, in the southeast. Although I don't think that plate would still be legal in France - a nice throw back though, certainly right for the car. A bit of a drive, but not too bad on modern roads.

    • We find out that Tommy knows about Kitty's cancer because Kitty says he sent her flowers with a nice note.
