Against Kitty's wishes, Nora decides to plan an engagement party. Since Justin has to report for duty on Tuesday, they don't have enough time to send out invitations, so Nora gathers everyone to split up the job of making "invite" phone calls. Everyone ends up fighting instead, and Kitty angrily tells Nora she will be moving out soon.

Nora tells Saul that an old friend of his will be coming to the party, and he seems less than excited about that news.

Justin finds out that his orders have been changed, and he now has to leave on Sunday morning, meaning he won't even be able to stay for the whole engagement party. He tries to make time with each of his family members to do something they each enjoy, but Nora wants no part of it. She does not want to say goodbye, and she definitely does not want to allow herself to think about the fact that Justin may not make it back.

Tommy tells Nora that Julia is not feeling up to a party. Nora volunteers to help Julia with the nursery, but she gets burnt out with all the work on the nursery and the party.

Kevin and Robert's brother (Jason) end up planning the party together, this is the first time they have spoken since their disastrous first date.

At the engagement party, we meet the rest of Robert's family, who are wild, to say the very least. They end up crashing into the pole for the tent, and the whole thing comes crashing down to the ground.

Saul's friend tells him that he and his wife are recently divorced, and that it is because he is gay.

Justin goes upstairs to get ready to leave, and finds Rebecca. She confesses to him that Joe is not the first older man she has had problems with. She was with a married man, and his wife found out, so he moved away. Then Rebecca followed him to Chicago, his wife found out again, and he ended up killing himself. Justin confesses to Rebecca that he has to leave earlier than planned, but doesn't want to tell anyone. He then sneaks out of the house to head to the airport.

Kevin and Jason get into a fight, and then make out in the pantry. Rebecca tells Kitty and Nora that Justin left, and they rush to the airport to try to catch him. They can't get through airport security, but Justin sees them and they say goodbye.

When Kitty and Nora get back to the party, they see how much fun Robert's family is having, and they decide to have some fun of their own. One by one, they all jump into the pool, fully clothed, and the episode ends with them all laughing and playing in the pool.
