Kitty has a secret that could ruin her family. Nora and Holly plan an engagement party for Justin and Rebecca. While Sarah searches for a new business venture in France.
  • A great opener for the 4th season...except the lack of Sarah.

As I live in Ireland I don't know when I'll be getting this show so I went ahead and watched it on the net. It was a really good premier for the 4th season. Nora and Saul's mother Ida was very funny as was Nora and Holly's constant fighting throughout the episode. I loved the little bits with Sarah and her internet dates but where did she go? I know she said she was off to France but I really hope that doesn't mean she'll be absent more in the season.

Kitty and Robert was interesting...even more shocking was the development that Kitty is sick. That should be a intense storyline for the Walkers. I quite enjoyed the Justin/Rebecca stuff too...which I don't usually love too much. I'll be interested to see where they take these two in future episodes. I kind of found the start pointless...why did they show us them getting in the crash at the beginning? Scotty was his usual self, a great thing. I thought Kevin was a little out of character at time but I'm looking forward to this child storyline for them.
I did love the tie in as Nora spoke of how she had to stop worrying about her kids and they were fine...all the while Justin gets in a (looks like a not very series) car accident and Kitty receives some bad news on her health. Great opener.moreless
  • Really good

In this episode of Brothers & Sisters, the following happens. Nora and Holly plan an engagement party for Justin and Rebecca and of course it doesn't go to plan. Nora and Holly try to outdo each other with their gifts. Justin and Rebecca get into a heated argument during the party, when he tells her that she isn't doing as well in medical school as he should be. But luckily by the end of the episode, they make up. We don't see much of Sarah in this episode as we learn that she is going to France whilst Joe still has the kids. Kevin and Scotty begin to look into surrogacy but are shocked by how much it costs. Kitty goes to the doctors with Evan, and soon when she mentions that she hasn't been well, they run some tests on her. As the episode ends, she is told that the news isn't very good, and the episode ends there.moreless

    • (Scotty is looking through a very thick orientation kit about surrogacy)
Kevin: How's Assembling a Child by Tolstoy?

    • Scotty: Promise me you won't say anything to your family about the whole surrogacy thing? Kevin: Absolutely. Look, I'm terrified once mom finds out, she'll want to choose the surrogate for us. Scotty: Yeah, I'm terrified once your mom finds out, she's gonna want to be the surrogate for us.

    • Nora: From the minute my kids were born all I did was worry about them. I thought surely this will stop when they get older but no. What I worry about has changed but I'm still worrying. And what good has all this worrying done? None. With or without it my kids are doing just fine. They're happy and they're fine. I just need to learn to relax. I deserve to be happy.
