  • Review of Bubble Crisis 2040

The original is far better. Its older but the details and color is deeper and better in the original.

Also the music is much better in the original and Priss is more believable as a tough girl.

The 2040 version is too cheesy. ITs good but not as good as the original.
  • This is a solid anime and far better than the original version which was just too dated for my taste.

The show is set in the future years after a devastating earthquake wreaked Tokyo. To aid the rebuilding robots known as Boomers were used but now these Boomers have started to go out of control. The police set up a specialist unit called the AD Police to deal with these incidents but they are underfunded and understaffed. As such the responsibility of protecting Tokyo falls to a group of vigilantes called the Knight Sabers, who are all young girls in hightech suits.

The premise is pretty much what you would expect and this anime offers no real surprises. The plot is OK the acting is OK the characters are OK and yet... I quite like it. I don't know why but I do. It is not amazing but is is a solid show and I enjoyed it.moreless
