That was the two-parter "Journey to Oasis". Yes, he and Deering did have a relationship in the past, but she did not know that his head was detachable.

Mark Lenard played Sarek, Spock's father in a few of the Star Trek movies and Star Trek: TNG, until the character died during one of the TNG episodes.

I have a slightly different question about that same exact series, #24 of 33, Journy To Oasis.

I noticed that Twiki's voice was drastically different all of the sudden, and they offer no explanation. Even his personality is different. Yet, he looks like Twiki, and they call him Twiki!

I realize eventually I'll find out but I was wondering if anyone knew why they made such a drastic deviation in the character Twiki at this point in time in the series?

I don't really have an explanation for why the voice was different except maybe the actor's strike. I do know, however, that Twiki was back to himself later in the series.

I always wondered about that too. But I figured it could have been numerous reasons, like money issues, being sick est.
