Is it just me, or everyone else love these old flashbacks too? Like with Spike, Angel or Dru or The Master or whatever...i just started rewatching Buffy for like who knows which time , and i just love them...always wanted to make like a big movie from these flashbacks (all flashbacks, like from Buffy and Angel), but im always too lazy to do it... i think it would be awesome, but difficult..

Yeah, I've thought about organizing all the flashbacks in chronological order with the years they take place in and putting them together on YouTube or something. Maybe someday I will.

I've always loved the flashbacks, and the flashback episodes do tend to be better than the average episode. Episodes like "Fool for Love", "Selfless", "Lies My Parents Told Me", and Angel's "The Prodigal", "Darla" (Personally, my favorite episode of Angel, and the one that made Darla my favorite Angel character), "Destiny", and the many other flashbacks throughout the seasons. I love the astounding character insight they often provide us with (i.e. Selfless; LMPTM) and chances to see stories that we'd never get to see with modern Sunnydale/L.A., like Angelus, evil Spike, Darla and Drusilla all rampaging together, or even what they were like before they were vampires.

I've thought about making a video of those clips to The Time Warp, but I thought it might be too cheesy.

*sigh* *anger* i was writing something similar in another thread, and now i wish i posted it here! and by the way, if you're going to sew all of the flashbacks in chronological order- which you definitely should- i would definitely watch it. you should send it down to me! give me a second while i retrieve my somewhgat relevant post- unfportunately i will be unable to edit this post, but i'll try...

BTVS 'Selfless"- the first time i watched this episode i just kinda blew it off and didn't really think anything of it but once i got my DVDs and watched Selfless again i realized how awesome it was. It's amazing how much the character of Anya grew since her introduction in season three and how much i felt for the character. When Buffy stabbed her and she flashed back to the night of the musical i felt so sad for Anya and i was so happy that the sword through her was not enough to kill her. It was great to see Dahofryn again, i love that Willow kept his talisman. The Buffy/Anya fight was good and i was so shocked when Dahofryn took Halfrek's life rather than Anyanka's. And my favorite part was the refrence to season two's episode Becoming Part 2, that Willow never said "kick his @ss"...

"Him"- this was another episode i didn't really think much of after the first viewing, but upon a repeat viewing i found this episode completely hilarious, i think its just a really fun episode and its nice to have lighter episodes like this in a season that got so serious and dark later on...

i'm sorry, i know i'm a little late, but i HAVE to comment on selfless. i also love the becoming part 2 reference, i was looking for so long for buffy to get angry at xander that i ciompletely missed it, it was my sister that pointed it out to me. what i realised about this series that it wouldn't really be as good if it didn't start before it does, i mean, the characters of angel, spike and anya all exist before the show starts, they give the show some background and introduce characters to us that we've never met, but they have before. i love the history of the characters, because buffy really does start before season 1, it starts before buffy was even born, but it would be stupid to start it from the actual start. i remember loving this episode when i first saw it, and i still do, however i always felt like this episode was, or should have been, near the end of the seventh season- it is infact pretty close to the start.

It woud be cool to have an edited together reel of the flash backs. BUT, there are some flashbacks that would have to be cut up and edited into another flash back. ie. the first time Angel met Darla in the 1st season Buffy we see him leaving a pub and sees her. But some time later in Angel season 3 we see him getting drunk in the pub and her seeing him, then they outside and other stuff happens. So editing them together would take more work than you may think.

With that said I would love to see it if someone could make it.

that would be so cool. because the flashbacks are so spread out, they would be perfect together.

Oh, my fave flashbacks have to be any with Spike. Especially in "Lies My Parents Told Me". Loved him sitting on the floor with his mom, and him lying about being a baby when she sang to him. But the squicky one of her coming onto him is the worst, or at least mt least favorite of all, cause none of Buffy is really that bad.

"Selfless" is also a great one. My fave flashback is the first one with Aud and the bunnies. When Olaf says, 'you will always be my beautiful girl', then it goes to Anya washing blood off her hands, it just makes my throat close up, which is a sure sign somethings affected me, cause I don't usually cry. I don't know why, but that juxtaposition is very heartwrenching.

I always thought they should have done that as a special feature on one or both of the sets of DVD's. Would love to see it. I always like the fact that they teased you with the flashbacks never giving you the full story, like when Spike killed the slayer during the boxer rebellion. I think it was three or four separate episodes spaning BTVS and Angel to get the full picture of what was going on ie Angel having his soul at the time, tracking down Darla and begging for another chance to be what he was, but not able to kill the baby.

I love the flashbacks. It's great seeing the Fanged Four together . I've wanted (for ages) to make a video putting them in chronological order too.
Since I have lots of time. This is a list of the episodes that have flashbacks in them.
    Buffy
    S2-21.Becoming P1.
    S3-10.Amends.
    S5-7.Fool for Love.
S7-5.Selfless, 17.Lies my Parents Told Me.
(Possibly episodes like S2-8.The Dark Age & S5-21.The Weight of the World if you're counting Giles's quick flashes and seeing Buffy as a kid. They don't have any real flashback scenes though, and they don't exactly go very far back.)
    Angel
    S1-11.Somnambulist, 15.The Prodigal, 18.Five by Five.
    S2-2.AYNOHYEB, 4.Untouched, 5.Dear Boy, 7.Darla, 9.The Trial.
    S3-1.Heartthrob, 7.Offspring, 8.Quickening, 9.Lullaby.
    S4-9.Long Day's Journey, 11.Soulless, 15.Orpheus.
S5-8.Destiny, 13.Why We Fight, 20.The Girl in Question.
(S3-13 & 18 if including the ballet dancers etc, and Gunn's past. S4-2 & 6 if counting Gwen's childhood and the gang reverting back to past memories, even though you see nothing of the past. S5-6, 11 & 15 if including the wrestlers, Dana, and Fred's not that long ago ones.)
I don't think I've missed any. These should be all the ones that go far back into the past anyway. I may have missed some that show something that happened to random characters a month before the episode etc, or something like that. Let me know if I've missed any .

Also I'm sure those of us who really like the flashbacks would like to see it if anyone makes such a video.

EDIT: I just remembered that there were flashes of Liam when Hamilton was talking to Angel, mocking him. In the finale.
EDIT: / Wait, did I really imagine that? I don't think that actually happens. Also there were flashbacks of Doyle's past in AS1.9.

and on a side note can i ask how you do that line through the text you did? i always wanted to know how to do that lol

Thanks. Yeah that would be good . I recently realized I missed a flashback of the episode's demon in the S1 ep 'I, Robot... You, Jane'. I've probably missed a few things like that, but I'm pretty sure that I got all the ones with the Fanged Four. I don't know why, but I love calling them that .

It's the button that looks like 'ABC' next to the underlining button. I didn't know how to do that either until I randomly tried that one.

An even better term would be the fangtastic four, Penguin, although you could risk a copywrite lawsuit from Marvel Comics with that one. Tongue out
