Why do we celebrate Christmas in December? God's child's birthday is obviously in February. Holly is God and we all know Courtney's birthday. It confuses me...

It's not blasphemy if God has a sense of humor and sarcasm.

Either way, please no smiting of Doug from anyone.

Just because you asked so nicely, there will be no smiting from me!

I know why Christmas is in December, but I don't want to seem like a nerd.

Well, I was able to get the kid to go to bed. Now if only I could get her to sleep. She is just way too excited to do anything but be bouncy. My laptop is really warm on my legs. I have no ambition to move it. I am way too bored.

I got her a lot of stuff. She mostly wanted neopets stuff so she got a lot of those. She made me and Mike something at school and wrapped it up there, so I can't wait to see what that is.

    Yay for Big Love!

My family sucks. Last night my sister Emily dragged me (after an hour-long fight where she and my mother agreed that everything wrong in my life is my own fault) to a family get-together where my sisters were insulting, the food was burnt, and we were all kinda tense and pissed off.

Then today I was supposed to go to my grandmother's annual Christmas brunch (possibly the last due to her failing health), and though I wasn't too hot on going (not much one for my extended family either), I had made up my mind to make the best of it and even was looking forward to the car trip a little (three hours each way) since I had put Stargate: Continuum and a few episodes of Xena on my iPod.

I wake up today and it's the afternoon, and the brunch is over and my mother and sisters are about ready to come home from it. Apparently my mother tried to wake me up and my asleep self (I'm very hard to wake up and can do surprisingly much to avoid being woken up while still remaining asleep and unaware) said, "Go away" and flailed punches towards whatever my body thought was invading its space and disturbing it. After trying to lightly shake me awake twice and having this result, my mother assumed despite previous experience with waking me that I had been fully conscious and so she just left without me. And my jerky uncle Neil (who once told my mother it was her duty as a wife to lose weight to please my father and told his daughter she couldn't wear a sleeveless top because it was what made terrorists want to fly planes into buildings) wrote on an envelope for the card he gave me "ATTEND NEXT TIME! YOUR STILL FAMILY, LIKE IT, OR NOT!" First of all, I was planning on attending. Second of all, way to have good grammar ("your" still family?"), and thirdly, was the all-caps really necessary? Oh, and I just realized looking at it that he misspelled my freaking name.

    Gotta love family.

Oh well. I got lots of great virtual items on Neopets from Holly (because I am a dork who enjoys the site as well) and $65 from family that I can use to help save for moving away from them.

Wow, didn't realize this entire board was into neopets...

Doug that sounds like a depressing Christmas. Did you spend Christmas Eve with just your immediate family? Mine would be tense too if we did that.

Well, I had a nice Christmas. Spent Christmas Eve at my cousins house. She's a really good cook and the food was really good. And we had Christmas here, my mom made baked ziti, it was also very good. As far as presents, I got some games, some dvds, some books, some clothes, a pair of boots, a watch, and a camera. I'm not rich btw, my family just buys alot for Christmas. We're really into the whole giving thing. My little cousin made little clay sculptures for the entire family. Mine was WarioWare: Smooth Moves, I let them borrow the game about a year ago, guess thats how they see me...hmmmmm.

What the heck's a neopet? Anyway, I just spent Christmas at home, watching an old DVD of Luciano Pavoratti in "La Boheme."

Because there is no such thing as google where you could type up something you don't know what it is and look it up.

I used to love Neopets, but I haven't been on it in ages.

Doug I'm sorry your Christmas turned out to suck. We had a plan too, involving soda and naked pretty people
